When the servers and party system work properly it's a pretty good tactical shooter. I played some of the previous beta and that eventually ran very well aside from a few server hiccups and maintenance during the nights I played. I have the full game too and am expecting it will get some performance patches to work better soon like the beta. My buddies (Rad and Blax) have been playing a lot more than me and said that the servers have slowly been getting better since launch.
About the gameplay and game itself, there's a good amount of variety in how you can play and approach the enemies from both the offensive (attacking) and defensive teams. Different operators (or character classes) will have at least one unique bit of equipment to use as a skill and each operator can only be chosen once in your team, so it's "first in best dressed" otherwise you will have to go with the default recruit if you don't have any other unlocked operators left to choose from. You get to play both sides in the PvP as the rounds switch like Search and Destroy, so it's fair.
I like how at the beginning of a PvP match, you get about 40 seconds (in casual mode) to start setting up your defences as the defending team while the attacking team sends out camera drones to try and scout out your objective location. If the attacking team has found you in that time, then you'll know to expect them soon. If not and especially it's a really big multi-building map, then you can just bide your time or ambush them or they might not even find you at all even after it's action time, haha.
In addition, there are multiple ways to get into buildings so you can be very tactical with how you break in with or without your team mates. You can reinforce wall sections so that they cannot be breached unless the attacking team has a thermite operator. Put down jammers so that camera drones can't get through and mark you... There is a lot of strategy and depth to how you and your team can play and that's one of things I am enjoying a lot about the game. Especially with good team mates that are careful and know what they are doing.
Overall, I am enjoying the game a lot so far based on both the beta last weekend and playing more of the game last night. The gameplay feels refreshing and different. Doesn't make me feel old like CoD MP does now, haha. II tend play online with friends quite often so the value is there for me being an online only game - I can just play Fallout for SP action

.
Ubisoft definitely need to fix servers and the partying up system soon though since it makes it difficult to reparty if we leave or get dropped from the lobby.
