Set in Chicago, where a central network of computers connects everyone and everything, Watch_Dogs explores the impact of technology within our society. Using the city as your weapon, you will embark on a personal mission to inflict your own brand of justice.
Chicago's overarching network is known as the Central Operating System (ctOS), and it controls almost all of the city's technology and information - including key data on all of the city's residents.
You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. While seeking justice for those events, you'll monitor and hack those around you by manipulating the ctOS from the palm of your hand. You'll access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy... and more.

ubisoft has announced the pc system requirements for watch dogs. just the minimum card/cpu is 3/4 of the price of a ps4 :/
also you must have a quad core cpu & a 64bit os.
MINIMUM
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB Video RAM
CPU: Quad core
RAM: 4GB
For example, that could be an Nvidia GTX 460 and an Intel Core2 Quad Q6600, or go the AMD route with a Radeon HD 5770 and a Phenom X4 9750. RECOMMENDED
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM
CPU: Eight core
RAM: 8GB
This translates to an Nvidia GTX 560 ti and an Intel Core i7-3770, or perhaps an AMD Radeon HD 7850 and an AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core. ULTRA
GPU: Latest DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM or more
CPU: Latest Eight core or more
RAM: 8GB or more
For example: Nvidia GTX 670 and Intel Core i7-3930K, or the AMD alternative - Radeon 7970 and FX-9370 Eight-Core.
Seems like a lot of next-gen games are going to take advantage of hyper threading. Kind of regretting of buying an i5 CPU, but what can you do Might just get this on ps4. Maybe ill save a bit and upgrade the CPU at some point in a year or 2 when more games require those 8 cores
Edit: Just had a look at the cost of an i7-3930K is $629 wowzers
a Q6600 will only cost you a $100 if you have the rest of they system though straus, but mind you that's the MINIMUM to run these games.
also hyperthreading has been around since the end of the pentium 4s. if it's just the hyperthreading you need i'm sure you can find something who will give you an old p4 box complete with a gig of ram & probably an 80gb hdd lol.
haha yeah ill take that deal Unfortunatley I would have to stick to Intel processors cause my motherboard is designed for haswell processors which are 2011 pin connectors or something (dont quote me on that)
True its been around, but considering both next-gen consoles have hyper threading CPUs it will change how game Devs make their games for sure...

lol, not mine. this is my home desktop. http://img820.images...0/8928/xp4n.png
but my work desktop is a disgrace.
whenever someone was talking about building a gaming rig around me & was tossing up between dual & quad core i always pointed out that the games didn't take advantage of quad too. now i feel bad, as i don't know if any one took that advice up :/
well, i guess it's the Graphics card is the most important component in the PC gaming world.
Not just graphics card by itself, a good CPU and RAM is also important, would be a waste to have a beast of a graphics card if it's being held back by slow ram or slow CPU.
This is why I'll be playing it on PS4 - put disk in drive, download inevitable patch and play, know that it's been optimised for the hardware, too easy . Reckon this is only the start of the ratcheting up of PC required specs. Wait until most games are next-gen only, with no current-gen version in mind. Suspect we'll start seeing min specs that look similar to the next-gen machines. Will be great for people with uber-rigs .
Incredibly excited for Watchdogs. Honestly it's the only nextgen title which has made me take notice so far I can really think of or I can still remember after the initial announcement.
Glad I ended up with a i7 lol! Chose the higher option for the upgrade in video card only haha as it was prebuilt.
Much to the disappointment of what it felt like every single self proclaimed expert telling us to build our own.
Still waiting to see more of the online aspect. I still remember back to the announcement trailer at the end when you saw another player on the roof watching.
Watch Dogs has slipped into 2014, the ambitious racing game The Crew has also been moved from a early 2013 release date into the 2014-1015 fiscal year, which begins in July 2014.

Watch Dogs has slipped into 2014. As one of the biggest and most highly anticipated titles this year, it is unfortunate to see that Watch_Dogs from Ubisoft has been pushed out of the current and next-gen consoles November launch window, but hopefully the extra time will allow developers to polish and add the finishing touches the game clearly...
