Another negative is you're forced to kill in certain areas which sort of shits me when my preferred way to play is ghosting and not killing all the way.

It is possible to do it all non lethal.

Yeah - realised that now, didn't see the stun gun. Was where you have to escort the guy and you have only one hand and can't take people down by sneaking up behind them.

Did one of the side mission things yesterday where they come in waves. There were quite a few weapon crates around so I was just whoring out those electric mine thingamabobs, setting up booby traps everywhere then hiding up on a pipe on the ceiling quietly watching them all get shocked. Was entertaining I must admit.

Those missions can be fun, but they get ridiculously hard after wave 10.

Yeah - only did 5 waves, I had breaks throughout which took me over a period of around 4 or so hours. I reckon a bit over an hour all up - was enough for me.

Well that ends that I guess. Not a bad game at all. Always enjoy the Splinter Cell games. Still reckon Chaos Theory is the best and they really do need Ironside to return for the next one.

So I given this a good run through. Had one playthrough on normal, finished both Kobins and Grims missions and given one of Charlie's ago.

And overall it's been enjoyable.
Negatives would be:
  • The context sensitive buttons. I had trouble sometimes getting Sam to interact with them having to re-position him several times while    hammering X to get them to trigger.
  • The Super Heavies(Ones with Gas Masks). They annoyed the hell out of me for my entire main game playthrough. After completing Grims missions and getting the best stealth gear which I dubbed the Bird Suit they became much more barable. Wishing I had playthrough her mission to begin with.
  • Unable to join up with Live for co-op. Beats me why but we can't join each other, don't have any issues with the amount of other games we've played.
Other than that it was all good. Re-doing Kobins missions with the SC sniper, Bird Suit and a super agressive panther style was extremely enjoyable, the last main mission where you dodge your way through lasers brought back some old Splinter Cell nostalgia and brought a smile to my face.
I didn't mind the new voice actor he's not Ironside but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

Overall glad I gave in to temptation of the sale and bought it.
I now look forward to a no kill perfectionist play-though with all the gadgets and Bird Suit, will miss not using the sniper though.

Nice one Spec B).  Right shame you couldn't get the coop happening.  I'm hoping partying up is a little more reliable with the new gen, but I'm not entirely sure it'll end up that way...
