Nice one Spec B).  Still playing EUIV with bits and pieces of Tales from the Borderlands when I've got a bit more zip, got some time off in January and hoping to play some faster paced stuff like MGS V and Batman:AK.  Quite enjoying Tales from the Borderlands, the first hour or so is slow, but after that it's engaged me ever since.  I'd say worth a look for peeps that enjoy Telltale games and Borderlands :).

Started AC: Syndicate. Really enjoying it so far. Surprised how good it is. I'm also liking the London setting, very atmospheric and interesting (huge too).

I get the feeling Ubisoft have taken note of how The Witcher 3 did their witcher sense and investigation mechanic, because the way it works in Syndicate is very similar. Using it to find clues, character comments on clue, which leads to more clues, etc. There have also been times when you have to use your Eagle Vision to follow trails and talk to witnesses. VERY Witcher. Which I'm OK with because Iliked it in the Witcher and so far it is well done here as well.

Nice one Aro :).  I'm looking forward to playing it at some stage (but it's far too close to release date for me to have played it yet, lol).

Taking a break from EU4 to play an indie strategy game by the name of Rule the Waves, and really enjoying it.  It's visual presentation is very limited (screenshot included below, marvel at the double-digit numbers of 2D polygons on the screen :D), but it's got some great, deep strategy.  It's a game where you control a nation's navy from 1900-1925, with diplomacy being fairly dynamic, so you don't really know who or when you'll go to war with someone (you see tension with nations rising and falling both from external factors and decisions you make, but it's not like everyone goes to war in 1914 or anything like that).  You design the ships you build, manage their deployments and them control them in procedurally generated battles (in a good way :)).  Lots of fun, and nice and slow-paced (it's technically all turn based, with the strategic turns being one month, and the battle turns one minute).

Been playing Homeworld Remastered - absolutely loving it! A little bit difficult sometimes (takes a couple of goes to get through some things it throws at you and there's no difficulty setting from what I could see) but they've done such a great job with remastering it... it's truly one of the best games ever... particularly for what it did for its time. Stands up well (with the updates) even today.

Thorougly recommend!

Great to hear Clowny B).  I think I got about 2/3rds of the way through (and very much enjoyed it up until then), then one particularly difficult mission smashed me (must have tried it 5 or 6 times, and never got close, even after hitting the internet for tips) - may your Homeworld-fu be stronger than mine :D.

^ I saw that you started Graph and braced myself for the coming onslaught of bosom picks in my activity feed.

I've been playing Bastion (iOS), picked it up in iTunes on sale for $1.49 few weeks back. Started off a bit slow didn't know what much to make of it, I have had it on my radar and tossed around buying it on PC but was just never sure enough so always held off.

I'm at the point of no return now so have played quite through most of it. It has two control schemes classic which gives you on-screen buttons, or default which is auto-attack tap/drag on screen to move to that spot, I've stuck with default. Controls aren't too bad several times I have walked off the edge though, never really felt my finger was in the road of much other then the beautiful visuals.

I really started to enjoy it as time went on wanting to see how the story unfolded. Levels are a good length, don't find them dragging on or over in an instant. Visuals are very pleasing to the eye, the varied locations all look great.

Does have slow down though on my iPad 4, nothing game hampering or too often but still enough to notice, which would put me off considering Transistor for iOS.

So glad I picked it up.

Edit: I finished it. Quite enjoyed the ending and everything. Didn't mind the narrator and quite enjoyed the story and seeing where it would go and end up.

Nice one Spec B).  I was the same with Bastion, initially I was "this is alright, but what's everyone so excited about", but by the end of it was hooked, and wouldn't put it past me going through it again sometimes.

Still rocking Rule the Waves at my end, and am really enjoying it.  Clearly for the slick visuals, I mean when a game looks like this, who needs gameplay? ;).

Haha, nah, that's the 'strategic view', so the big list on the left is my navy (ship by ship, UI could be a bit better, but most of the game was put together by one person, so understandable it's not as polished), the right are the various levels of tension with the other major nations (Russia and me weren't getting along at that point).  So you build your navies at the strategic view, and try and get as much prestige as possible (basically the final currency for how well you do in game, although you can play it however you like as long as your prestige doesn't get too low and you get fired) through various decisions, which invariably raise tension with other nations, so from time-to-time you go to war and pit your ships against the AI's.

The naval battles can be quite good as well.  They're a little slow early, when armour is relatively stronger compared with the guns available, but this arvo I had a battle with France (playing as Germany) which started at night, bumped into the enemy fleet in the English Channel at close range, and the French torpedo boats quickly destroyed three of my battleships/battlecruisers (out of about 12 - and they had about 15 to start with), and I was "bugger, played a really good game up to now, and there goes a quarter of my heavy hitters", but daylight broke shortly afterwords, and my 'quality first' approach to shipbuilding meant my remaining battleships/battlecruisers knocked out nine of the French without taking a loss, and causing the French no end of grief.

Bored yet?  OK, I'll shut up :P.

Yeah I will. Shouldn't be a problem, just incredibly annoying. It'd still prolly work out to be cheaper with our dollar right now haha.

started playing hard reset yesterday.  great looking graphics but can't help liken the game play to serious sam which is pretty much just hoards of enemies.  it's a little more involved than that, secret areas & decent enemy variety so far, but the enemies just charge at you pretty much so there's no AI or anything.
