Ah that's not good to hear about fallout and Windows 10, already upgraded.

God this month is torture waiting for Phantom Pain lol. I consider myself a patient person but I'm really not right now hahaha.

it's really bad, especially now in the sierra madre dlc.  the environment is pretty small & bland, yet it's really choppy to play.

Good News for Windows10
FNV runs AMAZING in DirectX12. I've been stress testing the game by spaming nukes in high sunlight to load the screen with things to process and by launching them in closed rooms to trigger physics. All of which the game engine handles fine. I am beginning to feel it's not the coding of the game, but the limits of DirectX11 that sometimes made FNV unstable. The lag when opening VATS is gone, the lag when switching targets in VATS is gone. Images are visually improved, as well as framerate. In games wdere framerate monitiors are built in, I am finding 25-50% improvements. FNV seems visually similar.

:/

always been my intention to wipe my pc & do a clean install of windows after finishing new vegas.  hopefully it's just an issue i've picked up when doing all my swapping of bits & upgrading etc.

LA Noire?

Bought this - I did own it on the PS3 when it released but house was broken into then and it was stolen so never got to finish it. Have been playing through it although it still feels a bit familiar albeit hazy. From memory (when I originally played it) I was up to some serial killer but that memory is a bit washy so could be completely wrong.

Also completed Portal Stories: Mel. 8 brain muscles out of 10.

Further to that - been promoted to homicide so I reckon I'm getting close now (to where I was).

fired up dirt rally, it's a lovely looking game that on first play just blows you away.  great immersion etc but the more you play it the more frustrating & perhaps boring (?) it gets.  finding the championships are a bit long for me, they'll be say 8 stages & about 40-60 minutes long & i just don't have the interest to play for that long on one thing.  also it becomes frustrating as some of the things your car does just don't feel right (such as the mini gets airborne all the time when it really should just crash instead of cartwheeling down the road for 300 metres lol).

just awaiting mad max to unlock now which should be tuesday afternoon, won't get to play til wednesday night though.

Yeah, I'm not all that phased over it either... probably the same reason actually, the 6-8 (or whatever) stages per championship is very long indeed. By the time I'm around half way through I'm over it already. Would be good if they could cut them in half (not the actual tracks - just the stage quantity).

Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War® II (PC) playing the campaign on normal, was fun to begin with but just reached at point where it has stopped being fun. Enemies are just too strong now for it to be any fun for me, so much so I cant be bothered to finish it.

Haven't given skirmish a go yet so will do that, I do get most of my play time in RTS from that so will give it a go but if it doesnt change much than I doubt I will even bother installing Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II: Retribution or touching Dawn of War 3 if it follows 2 and not 1's gameplay style.

Also Assassin’s Creed® Brotherhood(PC) it has its moment of fun still, story is interesting, tombs are interesting and where the fun is travelling through them.
Combat is still a bit of a pain to do against alot of enemies, I still have so much trouble going into and out of combat, but the kill streak move has improved it a bit being able to take down groups quicker.
Traversal is still so so at times but I expect that since it still has its quirks in AC3.

It is my 4th one in around 3 years so I feel a little burnout, enough for me to wonder if I will ever get them all done, considering at the end of this year there will be 6 I've still to play.

Yes, they do like to pump out those Assassin's Creed games!  If you were going to skip any, you can definitely miss the PSP entry (can't remember its name), and while the PSV entry is solid (and a bit shorter than your average AC game as well), I wouldn't call it essential to the main plotline, it's more of an off-shoot.  Black Flag'd be the one I'd say is the one to not miss, and the naval side of things mixes up the gameplay a bit.  Unity is enjoyable, but is definitely 'more of the same' (albeit more polished), and as far as I can tell isn't terribly pivotal to the main plotline, so you might be able to get away with Brotherhood, Black Flag and then jumping straight to this year's one (if it turns out good, of course).  Haven't played the offshoots that have popped up on PSN as well, although will probably get around to it at some stage.  Revelations is solid, and I'd probably say has more architectural and mission variety than AC: Unity, but also isn't particularly essential.

^ I dont want to skip too far ahead, I got AC1 for $5, AC2 free as gift, AC:B $4.48 and AC3 free with new ps3, so I like getting them cheap ;)

Will go Revelations next to finish Ezio's arc off plus it will only be $4.48 on sale. I might go Liberation next if it is cheap enough other wise I will give it a skip and go to 4, I have nothing to play the psp version on. Might go Rogue afterwards just because it shows the series from a different side.

I played a bit more of Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War® II (PC) skirmish tried normal got beat, went down to easy won, but most of it wasn't too fun, having to the ai run away alot(To save ranked units) and having to chase around reclaiming resource points when the ai just isnt my type of fun. Will give it a few more games but its looking like I wont even bother with starting Retribution, its just not my type of RTS and pretty much shows why I always was hesitant on it.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved(iOS) finished the main adventure mode, the Topaz boss was quite a long little battle, definitely needed to be on guard to finish it. Overall its a good game but too many of the levels are 1 life only and that's not really my thing and why I prefer SuperStarDust's main mode to its. It does pack a good amount of modes though.

I've said to a friend just play Black Flag and don't worry about the rest. He seemed to get on fine. :P  The series has become a bit of a mess with so many releases.

I got Mad Max on the cheap from that link you shared GraphicX. Haven't even started it lol. At this point I don't think I will anytime soon. Can't stop playing Phantom Pain.

Really getting into Elder Scrolls Online now, it's very well set up for solo play, with the best 'missions' I've seen in an MMO yet (noting I haven't played a huge number of MMOs, just WoW, LoTRO and EQoA), and am enjoying just meandering through the various quests and levelling up.  There's a good range of abilities and tactical/strategic choices about how you develop your character as well, and combat is much more engaging than the MMOs listed above.  Grouped up with Drags and Live yesterday for some dungeon-crawling fun which went well, and have received helpful items from both Master Chef Drags and 'Santa Jyks' (who made me a set of armour and gave me a bunch of other things B)).

Haven't been feeling much like playing anything too substantial so still fiddling around with Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved(iOS), going through the adventure mode trying for 3 stars, while not usually my thing the shorter modes play well to my current mood and it has been fun when I get into the zone and manage to last a while on a level.

I had some credit left over from the last steam sale and did have my eye on it during it but didn't buy it but Hexcells is one of the weeklong games on sale so I grabbed the Hexcells Complete Pack(3 games)(PC) for US$2.69. Its like minesweeper without the guessing, just logic.

I played through the original Hexcells, took me around 2 and half hours to fully complete it and get the perfectionist achievement(Completing all puzzles with little or no mistakes). There are 30 puzzles in it, they start off simple and introduce new clues gradually, I never felt it just ramp up out of nowhere.  As always with puzzle games it will vary person to person but the latter ones did require a bit of thinking from me and of course you can just guess your way through but I didn't need to each puzzle had its logic to figure it out which I like.

There is no reason to replay other than to perfect levels once you are done, the puzzles don't change(Hexcells Infinite fixes this with random puzzles) but for the .89c it costs on its own I am more than happy with the enjoyment I got out of it and look forward to playing Hexcells Plus next.

Anyone else gone the bloodied look in MGSV? Absolute cracker of a game - I actually look forward to playing it each time. Games don't do that to me too often these days.
