Close - it's Crimes & Punishments. I might play that next though after enjoying this one so much (thus far). New one out next year as well.

Haha, great to see you're enjoying it Clowny, I thought it was a great game .  Not perfect, but we get so few games like that, that it's not fair to expect it to be as polished as an FPS (there must be more FPS games released each year than there has sleuth-em-ups ever!)

I'm enjoying it - although I'm a bit old school and like adventure type games. It's a nice and relaxing game to play.

I'd give it an 7-8/10 or so for what it is, but it is a slower-paced adventure game.  I thought the writing was pretty good as well, and really enjoyed it all up.  Would happily play again in a few years once I've forgotten what all the puzzles were.  I enjoyed The Testament of Sherlock Holmes as well, although it wasn't as polished as Crime and Punishments.

Wrapped by Dragon Age: Inquisition's Jaws of Hakkon DLC yesterday and it was a good play - 10 hours or so to do the lot (it could probably be done quicker, but that's pretty good mileage for single-player DLC), decent writing with some great moments, and quality action and Dragon-Agey combat.  It doesn't re-write the formula of what DA:I is, but it's not trying to.  Well worth a look for peeps wanting a bit more DA:I in their life .

Then had a quick gander at some of the PS+ backlog.  Oddworld: New'n'tasty is an old-school 2D platformer.  Playing on easy, it broke me half-way through the third level, like any hardcore old-school 2D platformer should .  It's bloody brilliant, really well done, highly recommend it to fans of the genre.

Also had a look at Olli Olli 2, which I highly recommend to everyone that downloaded it to give it a look.  It's the kind of game that's always going to look average as you like in screenshots, but it's a 2D platformer/skater that nails the rhythm of 2D platforming.  It's too fast for me to play for any period of time, but the quick blast I had (15 minutes or so) was an absolute blast before I had to have a break.  I've played a lot of 2D platformers in my time, and while there are good ones, so few nail that rhythm.  Olli Olli 2 nails it with style, and has surprising depth in its skating mechanics for a 2D game (just don't expect Skate 3 level moves or anything like that ).

Finished Crimes and Punishments (yesterday) - really enjoyed it. Had some frustrating parts, unsure whether that was because I was doing it with a controller or not (rope bridge comes to mind - took me at least 5 attempts). One of the chapters was a bit too short and could have been longer. I'm still gonna give it an 8, although it probably deserves a 7-7.5.

Will get the one before it now (the Testament of Sherlock Holmes). I've also got Murdered: Soul Suspect which came with one of those Humble Bundle sales... so guess I'll play through that next even though I heard it wasn't that great.

been playing tons of fallout vault which came out on android the other day.  to start with i thought it was really good, but then it becomes really repetitive, hard to manage & a little frustrating so ended up bailing on it.

Going through the PS+ backlog and bumped into CounterSpy, and it's been a very pleasant surprise.  I was in two minds about it when it launched - it looked promising, but the reviews were a bit each-way.  While it's not perfect (the camera sometimes makes it hard to see/target off-screen enemies) I've really enjoyed it (and this is a game that won't let me invert the Y-Axis for the shooting stages - it's won me over despite this!) - it's got a rhythm and mechanics that are good fun, and it's both challenging and forgiving all at once.  For anyone who's got it on PS+, I highly recommend trying it.  For everyone else, it's a 2D stealth/shooter and I'd still recommend watching a youtube vid on it (levels are semi-procedural, so there's no spoiler risk), but if the vid looks interesting and the gameplay is your thing, might be worth a look.  Worth noting it's not a long game - I finished my first playthrough in 3 hours or so, but playing again as gameplay is fun .

Yeah I haven't played too much of it but I was surprised too. It didn't really grab me when it first came on plus and it's taken all this time for me to just look at it. Good little fun, been meaning to put it on the Vita.

I've been mostly playing previous Metal Gears while waiting for the next week and a bit to pass

Crazy! I think I'm going to wait and see how the PC version turns out, if it's shite, then I'll just get the PS4 version. Going off what they did with Ground Zeroes, it should be good - let's hope.

I was always getting the collector's edition to add to my mgs collection so the choice was easy for me to go ps4

I played Testament of Sherlock Holmes on PC, it's similar, although not as refined, and has controller support (it was a little buggy for me at first, but with some fiddling around got it sorted).  That's about as close as you'll get .  I haven't played the earlier Sherlock Holmes games from Frogwares, but there's a bunch of them on Steam as well (some of the earlier ones with demos, so easy to check whether they're a bit 'dated' in gameplay mechanics to enjoy).

Oooh, yes this - good thinking Smokey .

Been playing some Elder Scrolls Online, played 3-4 hours so far and enjoying it a lot, a nice relaxing game early, feels like a cross between Skyrim and a normal MMO (so story/characters not as deep as Skyrim, but a good deal better than WoW/LotRO.  Interface with the pad feels pretty good (although I'm still mainly on the basics) and combat is enjoyable - very 'Skyrimmy'. Visuals fairly nice as well, although helps that I played Skyrim on PS3 and now playing this on PS4 - I'd expect a modded-out Skyrim on PC to out-visual ESO.  Cheers to Jyks/AroGantz for letting my nooblet join the guild .
