Cracked the top 10 in a RaceRoom fastest lap competition. Still know I can shave off a few hundredths/thousandths here and there as well... was by no means the ultimate perfect lap.

Mid year steam sale should start tomorrow. Should be like the last one and continue on with dropping daily/flash sales and have games on sale at one price for the duration of the sale.

The comp goes for a month for each track. The top 5 are just under a second off and I'm sitting in 10th. Doubt I'll get that much maybe a couple hundredths will be about the best I'll ever do (if I'm lucky). There's always somewhere where you fuck up enough to lose precious time. I've had to play around with the setup of the car to achieve that and have seemed to hit the sweet spot (probably by accident). Must have done a good 100 laps of that track now though. haha. Will be interesting when it's a track I know... had never seen this (track) in another racing game.

EDIT: Actually forgot to say - there's real life professional racing drivers that take part in it as well.

That click game was the last summer sale. They usually do some sort of meta game with sales but the didn't with the last winter sale which just had that comic so maybe maybe not will have to find out tomorrow.

I've been crafting a few badges lately and Steam has been giving me a few of the summer sale cards leading upto it for every badge I crafted which is cool. I dont know if that's usually the case. I know it happens during sales.

Ended up picking up Stellaris from Kinguin (don't like supporting them but it was cheap), seems further along in patching various things than Hearts of Iron at this point. Though it really seems you can't go run with either.

Steam sale is here, no meta game or anything so I guess like the dailies/flash sales they are also dead.

The 3 free daily cards from going through the Discovery Que are back as well, easy cards and an easy few extra cents.

All I really wanted was AC: Revelations to go 75% like it would back when there were dailies but again it only reaches 50%. Tom Clancy games are the same ones that would go 75% off are only 50% when they went 75% off during the mid-week or weekend Tom Clancy sale in May cant remember which it was so it looks like waiting for the AC games to go on sale for a shorter time period is my best bet.

Good thing still plenty of games I own to play still.

At least with the sales this way I know I wont be buying anything early. So its just going through the discovery Que daily again for 3 free cards like last time.


Also on the off chance someone wants Sonic games seeing as its on the front page today youd be better of gettign them from here sonic-25th-anniversary-bundle

Grabbed Trine 3 didn't realise at first that the Trinelogy bundle had been update to one of those ones that give you extra discount based on what you own in the bundle so managed to get it for $3.84 since I own the first 2.

Edit: looks like that's my100th owned game according to steam.

Got pushed out of the top 10 to 11th so had to go at it again and managed 8th. Still reckon I can get better than that - as I said before, there's always (at least) one spot you don't do the best you can in.

Also entered an open wheeler competition (F2) which is pretty much my favourite (being an F1 tragic). Got myself into 7th with a decent amount of room to improve. Just a matter of learning the track again (and settings) which I was not at all familiar with.

Aye, I was never, ever anywhere near as good as you are, but back when I could maintain that focus, I really enjoyed just tearing around the track on GT trying to get that perfect lap.  The feeling of nailing a corner 'just so' goes well .  Good luck for the last bit of the comp .
