Lol got no clue where it came from.

Yeah, Sony are pushing the remasters a bit. In general it's great but the worst is the PS2 rollout by far.

it's even happening with movies, with old movies being totally remade.  some of them are fantastic, others are just a lack of original ideas & money grabs.

Yeah, completely agree. Though in the case of Star Wars god I wish the original trilogy was just remade instead of George "finishing" them. O_o

i dunno about star wars, as it's potentially an endless tale.  i'd rather 4/5/6 be left alone, 1/2/3 be forgotten about & the rest be more like 7 which i really enjoyed.

now lets all just hate jar jar binks for a bit, worst character of any movie EVER !

Haha, yup - whenever someone says Star Wars is the best ever (and, to be fair, 4, 5 and 6 are awesome), I just say Jar Jar.  Then, if I'm in the same room with them, I risk getting hit, lol ;).

i got the same coupon today smokey lol.

@ axe; they putting it on there as well ??  more like ps3.1 ... but you gotta rebuy all the games you already own ...

I don't have to - only if I want to ;).  I traded VC when the PS3 died, and got a decent amount for it to, so suspect if I wait until it's 50% off or something, I probably won't be too far behind/close to breaking even.  I don't mind remasters - at the end of the day, it's all choice - no-one's forcing us to buy them.  Same argument for dance music - it's terrible, but at least there's choice :).

Aye - I was curious about the latest Fantastic Four movie, but it's reviewing worse than the previous ones....  We're getting some good ones as well though (I've been pleasantly surprised by the new Star Trek flicks).

Just came across a review of We Are the Dwarves on Wargamer.com (have started reading websites for slower games, now that's what I'm playing) and it sounds pretty promising - review is at:

http://www.wargamer....re-the-dwarves/

I've got a list of games "to play" a mile long, so not likely I'll to get around to it for a year or two at best, but just mentioning in case it piques someone's interest :D.

I wouldn't be able to run Grey Goo right now so that kills any real urge to get it now and have it just sit there unless something else I have interest in gets added in the second week..

Might have to grab that bundle. Own Company of Heroes 1 and 2 though, but I don't have the DLC for them. I think I have Dawn of War II as well but the Total Wars will hopefully make up for that.

It's from Obsidian, I don't think they've announced any details as to the gameplay (it was only announced last week I think), but I think their most recent game before tyranny was turn based (although memory's a bit hazy on that).

SteamVR page is up its quite spiffy.

The Humble Staff Picks Bundle: Glen

Introducing Humble Staff Picks. Often our bundles are collaborative efforts, but our new Humble Staff Picks Bundles make it so that one staff member can choose their favorites. Meet Glen, our office gargoyle. He doesn't only look great on buildings, but he also likes playing video games, and he's got great taste. Here's the lineup he's put together for you:

Pay $1 or more for
  • Ultimate General: Gettysburg,
  • Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons,
  • Chivalry: Medieval Warfare,
  • and a coupon for 10% off Humble Monthly for New Subscribers.
Pay more than the average price(Currently US$6.30) to also receive
  • GRAV (Early Access),
  • Victor Vran,
  • and Tropico 5.
  • More game(s) added next week
Pay $12 or more for all of that plus
  • Homeworld Remastered Collection.

I jumped on the $1 tier for Brothers, if Tropico 5 was the complete edition would've been tempted to go higher, depending what gets added may still.

Also decided to sub to the Humble Monthly for this month for US$10.80 since Mad Max is the early unlock which is a good price for it so willing to risk getting 6 other games I have no interest in for it. Doubt I will keep the sub after though the previous months havn't done much for me.

Also had a look at my account through the steamdb calculator(will need your profile to be public to work)
1,888h played across 81 games, own 96, 15 Games not played which will never go under 6 thanks to a few addon/beta/things I have no interest in.

It's good to see VR getting decent promotion, I do think it could be all sorts of awesome :).  That's a pretty good staff pick Humble Bundle as well, lots to like there.

Had a gander at that Steam account thing, and I've got an embarrassing 5000 or so hours played :/.  The cost per hour is (way, way!) off though - it has my cost at $10/hr - now that would be an expensive hobby!

Mines $12.62 ;)
But yeah its limited in tracking the true cost as it cant gather any info on when it was bought to tell what the price it was or if you got it from any where else or in a bundle from Humble and the like. Great example it says I have one game over US$50 which so happens to be Mad Max which I just bought for US$10.80

But its useful to easily see hours played and such. Unless I stuffed something up since joining steam  6 years I've spent around 3.5% of my time playing games on it.

Lol I didn't see that at first as I clicked the image and scrolled down a little so I could see your above post as well and it lined up with the top of main browser so thought that was the full image and wondering what you were on about. Realised it when I scrolled up and revealed the rest of the image.

You have come far on steam in the two years you've been on it.

Edit: getting top of page mid convo is so annoying for readability and flow -______-
