but I think it's fair to say that PC gaming isn't as problematic as console gamers believe... at least not in my experience.
If I were primarily a console gamer I'd be with you on that, but in the last four weeks 76.7 per cent of my gaming time was on PC (and it's a similar percentage over the last year). It's not a case of my not liking what's on the other side, more that familiarity breeds contempt

. Also worth noting you haven't played too many PC games at launch yet Clowny, and my argument was that they launched rougher on PC, not that they were rougher 2, 6 or 12 months afterwards (which they often aren't - longer-term support of games is generally better on PC).
I'm also not saying console launches don't have trouble, but it's worth remembering Skyrim actually launched buggier on PC than it did on console, and Fallout 3 was a mess as well (although Bethesda's a fairly soft target - their games launch buggy wherever they launch).
Assassin's Creed definitely had its issues on console as well, but no more so than PC. Watch dogs had a bunch of issues.
I'd also only keep this comparison to games releasing on both platforms. DriveClub may have had its issues, but it was no Ashes Cricket 2015, for example - very few full games that get released on console get out-and-out pulled, while on Steam it still happens semi-regularly (not often, but it's a 'thing', while on console it's really, really rare - I can't remember the last example). If we go for 'on which platform do games launch more smoothly on', console is bound to win as it puts all its games through a QA process to check they don't mess with the OS - and more QA is always a good thing (particularly in gaming these days)). That, and there are a bunch of lower-level PC games that launch really, really rough (and I'm not talking early access here). Even Galactic Civilizations III, which is from a dev I'm partial too, in a genre I'm fond of, and which has launched better than your average PC game, I wouldn't review yet because if I did it'd be a tad harsh, because it's just not quite finished. EU4's Common Sense DLC, which I played the other day, introduced a bunch of new bugs, and it's fairly standard practice for a new DLC to a Paradox game to introduce a bunch of issues that take a month or so to fix.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-PC, far from it (I spend most of my gaming time on PC!), and I'll be the first to say I'm disappointed how console (well, to be fair, just PS4, I'm not running with any other consoles at the moment) game launches are getting more like PC game launches (ie, buggier), but they still haven't got as bad as they are on PC, and as long as the platform holders require an extra layer of QA that generally doesn't happen on PC, it's unlikely to be the case it will.
