i got some arcade game looking cards a while back that were removed from my inventory *ffs*, were issued when crafting badges iirc.

will check out this minigame thing this weekend =)

also played some tiny keep last night, actually went really well but got too cocky & copped an insta-death, had my character that buffed it wasn't funny.  i guess it's back to level 1 for me.  recommend the game for any one looking for a bit of fun (or frustration if you don't figure out to buff/grind your character in the early dungeons).

The mini-game is just a clicker game. You get into a game with a bunch of others and just click.

You click to do do damage and use credits to upgrade yourself. I must've managed to join a game last night despite what it said, as when I got in today I had a bunch of gold and at wave 50.

you guys see the reveal of the new ghost recon game ?  reminds me of just cause 2, but with the excellent ghost recon mechanics.

Reminds me of all the other Ubisoft games they're doing... just reskinned, different name and a few new things chucked in. Looks good though - don't get me wrong.

i'd honestly be happy with that for ghost recon though, absolutely loved the last one, never got frustrated or bored with it once from what i can remember.  i just hope they implement the open world aspect well, have clearly defined missions & everything structured still, but with the freedom to move about (just cause 2 was just a bit of a mess tbh).

i'm guessing you guys are probably schooled on this, but i'm a n00b so all new to me.

mate setup a basic gaming pc & i've let him use my steam library, was a little worried steam might get upset so did a google.  turns out there's this 'family' thing built in, where you can share your games with up to 5 computers.  tried it out & it works perfectly, also did it with my mate at work so he now has my games & i have his.  works really well, you see them as one full library, or as 2 libraries under the 'games' tab.  you also get achievements on your account for playing the other persons games (dunno about trading cards) & your save games are your own & don't over write theirs.  the only catch is you can't play the same game at the same time, therefore no multiplayer together for example.  pretty chuffed.

Yeah - that sounds good... obviously only use it with RL friends you can trust.

appears no matter what game the other person is playing it'll lock you out of their library, once they log off it'll come up saying 'hooray you now have access to X's games'.

obviously if you're not playing online it doesn't matter though.

Aye, this is a great feature.  Very similar to how the PS4 does it, more flexible in some ways, not as in others (as long as both people have PS+, you can get two people playing online with the same game on PS4).  Not sure about X1, but would be surprised if they didn't have something similar (I was on top of their plans at one stage, but then they changed 'em a bunch, and I just got confused ).

Hmmm... a bit too soon in my opinion, but if it works for them and the fans, then it's all good :).

I thought someone would say that - so do you think now that they released the first one they should sit around and twiddle their thumbs for another year or so before starting to make the next one?

real joke they're using crowd funding for the 2nd edition, the amount of money they've made & now have the support of a big publisher they've got more than enough funding.  now they're just doing a money grab.

It's not really a money grab when you think about it - all you're doing is buying/pre-ordering the game super early. You don't have to buy the game twice (like you probably will have to do with Dirt).

Backers who pledge £50 will receive access to Project Cars 2 on PC upon its release, along with an in-game badge and wallpaper. £75 will offer backers the same, along with a soundtrack, poster, name in the credits, and choice of platform.

project cars was $AU50 at launch, they're asking twice that on kickstarter for project cars 2.

They're not forcing you to do it though. I'm not going to put money into it as well unless there was some early access incentives (like the first one), but there's not. Yes, looks like you pay a bit extra but if you want to wait until it releases, then wait (like I am)... it's not like you need to go into a 'money grabbing' fit about it. haha.

Correction - it's going the same route as the first the way I understand it... you'll have early access etc. Thinking seriously about doing it now...
