I've never actually had a SLI setup but they seem to be more trouble than they're worth right now. So many games having compatibility issues and screwing around needed. Don't know if I'm way off in thinking that though.

I haven't had any problems with them yet... I'm not sure you'd count that as a problem, I just updated the OS. Sure, things aren't as smooth going as on a Mac but there'd be an infinite number of variants for MS to track so no doubt default settings need to be put back to normal (I'm no PC expert remember as well - I've been using Macs for 20+ years).

F1 2015 doesn't have SLI support and I'm getting 60+ FPS. Squad Pre-Alpha doesn't have SLI support and I'm getting 60+ FPS. They are the only two games as far as I know that are 'what you'd call problematic' but have been nothing but. My rig seems to chew anything I feed it... if it ever gets bogged down (one day it eventually will), I'll just throw some new cards in it.

Better than the last garbage (8.1). Feels more like a desktop OS or like Windows 7 but slicker (they've finally updated the icons etc to be a bit more modern/current). Start menu is how it should have been in 8. Haven't really dug into it though so we'll see but it ain't bad thus far.

mate at work has been running the pre-releases for a while now, he said he was getting a good 10 fps improvement in games like witcher 3 vs win 8.

now we just need dx12 games and you have 8gb+ vram for massive textures xD.  nfi when if ever i'll get another r9 290, price of them is still way too high imo, apparently due to bit coin miners, i'd also need a massive psu as they chew 320w each i think :S

Couldn't get Siri (I mean Cortana) to work but think that's a localisation thing (hasn't been released for Australia yet). Apart from the little niggles above - everything else has been fine... had a little problem with the virus software / firewall as well but that was just a patch which fixed it.

I'm playing The Wolf Among Us at the moment, not exactly the type of game that requires anything special. Did read though that people are getting around 5 frames more than W8.1, nothing to get excited about. Won't be until the DX12 games that we'll see the big difference.

lol - it attaches to a hat. You can hardly notice it. I will get the part that attaches to the headset next.

Finally got it... talk about early delivery. Now I have to wait all fricken day until I can try it out!

Okay - so here's my initial thoughts on TrackIR. Took an early lunch break to try it out quickly. The setup was very simple, there's also software you have to download which is fully customisable but also has presets for supported games (you can change these till your heart's content).

I thought I'd try Euro Truck Simulator 2 first as it's just driving. The first thing you immediately notice is how natural it feels. When you turn a corner in real life you naturally move your head which ever way you're turning and that's exactly what the TrackIR does. I could also get rid of my right or left mirror (depending on which side of the truck I was driving) as now I can easily just look over there like you do in real life. I can also pop my head out the window and look to the back for reversing instead of using the mouse.

Will give it proper go tonight (without being so distracted by incoming emails and phone calls) but just from that first quick go of it - I FUCKING LOVE IT!!

EDIT - Added to that, finally at T-intersections I can look both ways without having to take the hands off the wheel to use the mouse. So good!

Sounds awesome Clowny .  While the Playstation Camera isn't as precise as TrackIR, it's bloody good (and helpful) in War Thunder to be able to look around without using the controller - you'll love it with flight games .

Yeah next step is some flight/space sims. I'll try the helicopters out in Arma 3 as well as on foot.
