Reaching level 20 today must've given me the drop rate boost I needed. Seems Dirt is a popular pack to drop.

Where Refunds Apply

Refunds on Downloadable Content
(Steam store content usable within another game or software application, "DLC")
DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase.

Refunds on In-game Purchases
Steam will offer refund for in-game purchases within any Valve-developed games within forty-eight hours of purchase, so long as the in-game item has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Third-party developers will have the option to enable refunds for in-game items on these terms. Steam will tell you at the time of purchase if the game developer has opted to offer refunds on the in-game item you are buying. Otherwise, in-game purchases in non-Valve games are not refundable through Steam.

Refunds on Pre-Purchased Titles
When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game’s release date.

Steam Wallet Refunds
You may request a refund for Steam Wallet funds within fourteen days of purchase if they were purchased on Steam and if you have not used any of those funds.

Refunds on Bundles
You can receive a full refund for any bundle purchased on the Steam Store, so long as none of the items in the bundle have been transferred, and if the combined usage time for all items in the bundle is less than two hours. If a bundle includes an in-game item or DLC that is not refundable, Steam will tell you if the whole bundle is refundable during check-out.

Purchases Made Outside of Steam
Valve cannot provide refunds for purchases made outside of Steam (for example, CD keys or Steam wallet cards purchased from third parties).

VAC Bans
If you have been banned by VAC (the Valve Anti-Cheat system) on a game, you lose the right to refund that game.

Movies
We are unable to offer refunds for movies on Steam.

Refunds on Gifts
We are unable to offer refunds for gifts after they have been redeemed by the recipient.

Abuse
Refunds are designed to remove the risk from purchasing titles on Steam—not as a way to get free games. If it appears to us that you are abusing refunds, we may stop offering them to you. We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a title that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that title for the sale price.

nah i honestly don't know, but under australian consumer law we're entitled to a refund to those providing products/services here if they're not 'grey-market' so to speak.  i'm guessing you'll soon see a proper australian shopfront on the steam store, complete with australian dollar pricing & 10% gst.

We have the same consumer law thing here in NZ as well; the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Local pricing makes it harder/more work to complain about the regional price differences

I read somewhere you might be able to get around the tax by using a geo-relocator/VPN, like those things people use for netflix reigon un-blocking

And to answer Axe's question, I don't think so. We had local pricing before Steam launched the refund program.

This is going from a pretty hazy memory, so it's more a "if worried, look into it" than "this is the way the world is", but I have some memory that Steam comes down hard on people pretending to be from somewhere they're not (like suspend your account hard), so be careful going down this path.  Or find out my memory's going and package me off to a home .

yeah they're against the vpn thing, but also about keys bought from iffy sources so either way you're running the gauntlet.  origin on the other hand you can save literally $80 on games with a vpn, total joke the regional pricing.

I like that GOG has store credit at least to make up the difference for regional pricing. Nice to have something at least for copping it for once.

I haven't been using steam for awhile now, it's becoming untenable even with sales with how the aus dollar is going against the US.

random; considering a small upgrade to the pc, i'm limited with sata ports for a start & that's bothering me, plus only have pci-e2 etc etc.  so looking at this & your thoughts:

way i see it, 5th gen cpus will still be 1150 & work with it, so i have an upgrade path in future using this board & DD4 isn't coming up partially until 6th gen & then fully in 7th gen (a while off & too pricey for me anyway).

from reading witcher 3 bottleneck stuff from what i've seen so long as you have a 2.2ghz quad core cpu you'll have no issues with any graphics card, so i'm good with my cpu for a fair while.

thinking as a next upgrade i'd do the power supply, followed by either a matching (used) gtx660 in sli, or just a whole new card.

from what i've read (unconfirmed), win 10 & direct x 12 'may' support all the vram on multiple cards, ie. 2x 2gb of vram will be 4gb of vram instead of just 2gb like it is atm, so dual cards may provide a big benefit.  all of this is unconfirmed.

then, later still, i could look at K processors & overclocking when i find i've outgrown the 4440.

yes, this is all because of fallout 4, but just wondering on peoples thoughts on the process & that mobo for it.  thinking it could be a less expensive in one hit way to update my $400 pc.

Mobo sounds good. DDR4 is too expensive right now... I was seriously considering the X99 route (and using DDR4) but with the more expensive CPU, RAM and Mobos, it probably would have cost me another $1500.

my issue is with the money is that this thing purely does games, literally no other role, so can't justify spending that kinda coin on it (particularly in one hit).

so you can't see any drawbacks with that board & my line of thought in regard to say a second 660 later & a new cpu & have mini-upgrades with minimal bottlenecks ?

Mobo looks good as said... I looked at a couple of review (scores) and it rated well, didn't look deeply into it or read over them though. No idea about what'll bottleneck what... but I dare say upgrading the GPU setup to SLI wouldn't have any problems using that CPU.

Steam Monster Summer Sale has begun

There is some game to play to get cards and discounts but its not working for me right now.

Seems like there is the usual Daily and flash deals, but the voting deals have gone in favour of playing this game to unlock deals.

The servers are not handling the start of these sale too well.
