For a Tarantino movie, The Hateful Eight is somewhat of a let down.
It was definitely one of his movies, just didn't keep me interested like the others.

I watched Jurassic World, I enjoyed it, was entertaining,  enjoyed the first 3 as well.

I did notice alot of nods/throwbacks/similarities to the first movie which were cool to see. Seeing the old red/grey wranglers was cool really enjoyed that colour scheme. Seeing the T-Rex appear at the end brought a smile to my face and was cool seeing the enemies from the first movie team up. They did get me with the Rex death fake out though I did think to my self they are going to have the Rex lose again but they let it come out on top with some help.

Was funny though with a driving force behind the creation of the hybrid rex was that Dinosaurs didn't wow people any-more as I felt the same with the movie in relation to the Dinosaurs themselves there appearance did lack that wow factor that the first movie, the first park had.

Yeah Jurassic worlds "plot" was bad, but it was a great movie none the less, lets hope the lack of "Assets" will be in the sequel lol.

@GC: It wasn't that bad to be honest, it was just carried out too long which bored me. Samuel Jackson like most Tarantino movies is the standout performance but i would agree its his worst.



The Martian: Good watch for what it is, anyone likes space/science movies would enjoy.
The Revenant: Save your 2:30 and dont bother, boring and more boring lol. Still no oscar for leo.
AntMan: Was alright for what it was lol.
Hot tub time machine 2: If you liked the first you'll like this one, if you didn't, don't bother lol.
Maze runner Scorch trials: Title is misleading as there is a lack of a maze lol. But a good watch none the less.
MI:Rogue nation: Typical mission impossible movie. Either like them or dont.
Spectre: Was alright, no real complaints about it, just another bond movie.
Dragon Blade: Jackie chan movie, good watch, would recommend.

Yeah I enjoyed The Martian it gave me what I was wanting from interstellar all the way through.

Watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Netflix the other day.  Fairly forgettable movie - so much so, it wasn't until three-quarters of the way through I realised I'd seen it before......  Now I've seen it twice, and not sure what kind of obscure ritual is necessary to cleanse myself!

Also watched The Road - good acting, and interesting enough story, but a bit slow paced and 'obvious' in the way it tried to manipulate emotion, so it was too easy to see through the story to the emotional subtext, and it was clear the emotional subtext drove the story, and not the other way around (which need not be a bad thing, but I prefer my stories to drive things).  Viggo Mortensen and the kid did a very good job, and shortest Guy Pearce cameo ever!

The only Transformers movies I liked was the first one... they've just gotten progressively worse - the latest one was fucking garbage.

The Road is okay - I still watch it from time to time... I don't mind the slow pacing.

Haven't watched anything new or gratifying here.

Yeah, I'll try not to watch that one twice (if I get around to it, didn't hear much good).  Here's hoping the next one's better!

Glad you liked The Road, plenty to like there - I was a bit crook and achey when I watched it, not the best time to watch slow movies, should've watched Avengers or something.

Just gave The Man from Reno a look on Netflix.  Not bad, with some nice twists, but one of those "just a little bit better and it could have been great, but not quite" movies imo.

I gave 'True Grit' a watch on Netflix the other day, not sure what to expect, and thought it was pretty solid.  Worth a gander, particularly if you're into westerns.

Deadpool was great, somewhat lived up to the hype.
I do feel as if they held back a bit which is a shame, but was entertaining none the less.

And of course was a couple idiotic parents take their lil ones then cause a fuss cause its not suited for kids blah blah blah.

Oh dear.... I think I feel a bit queasy just watching the trailer!  That said, I was impressed by some of their shots - that bit where he jumps on the back of the bike must have required a bit of skill to get right .

Watched Man on Fire the other day on Netflix, surprisingly good, although thought it tried a bit hard to be arty on occasion.  Would recommend it for folks looking for tense action/thriller flicks.
