I was crook the other day and wanted something easy and not to challenging on Netflix, and never saw the reboot of 'Lost in Space' when it came out, so gave it a watch. It wasn't very good - if you're ever crook and looking for something easy to pass the time, watch something else .
Aye, that's it. The special effects would probably have been pretty slick for the time (and still hold up pretty well today, although it's a bit old for it to be cutting edge these days), but the writing and pacing could have been better I thought. Maybe I was just tired and grumpy? .

RoboCop(2014): It was good to watch since it really was just as I expected it to be and in the right mood for that sort of thing. The only thing I can really think that sort of bugged me a little was a times it didn't look right or as good as I expected it would, a few times I noticed the face and hand seemed green-screened onto the suit, it detracted when noticed a little since I was drawn a few times.
Not movies but I've also watched the lead in ep Dragons: Dawn of the Dragon Racers and TV series Dragons: Race to the Edge, I enjoyed the two movies(How to Train your Dragon) because dragons so I gave them a watch(Haven't seen any of the other series), I enjoyed them, seeing different dragons, had some laughs, good to see a bit set in between the two movies.
This Girl Is Badass(Thai) Silly movie really but I enjoyed it nothing too serious, I found it quite funny, again though I found some subtitles poorly timed and would miss lines just because they don't come up early enough then come up too late and too quick.
Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl(Japan)That is probably exactly how your mind imagines it, I'd liken its cg to movies from the 80s, it really doesn't take itself serious and really you couldn't watch if any part of you did, just one of those silly movies that you watch when you don't want to worry about paying attention.
The Tournament Your typical action movie really, nothing out of the ordinary for this type of movie but satisfied that simple action need.
The Adventures of Tintin Already watched it before but its an enjoyable movie, I mainly wanted to see the visuals in HD, since it was and still is a visually impressive movie for me. Just really enjoy the whole Bagghar chase scene.
Interstellar have been wanting to watch this for a bit but its run time generally put me off when I would feel like a movie. I enjoyed it quite a bit up to a part, found it interesting and everything but it did lose me a bit once it hit the part and my enjoyment soured a bit after that.

The part I am referring to is the black hole entering, just lost me there went too far from reality too out there for me, I was enjoying it up until then, wouldn't have minded to see some more planets, the giant wave planet was cool, though I feel they went out of their way to make sure that guy died on it with how long he stood there doing nothing. The ice planet was interesting, with the frozen clouds and that there was another surface which of course turns out to be lies. That's where I felt the slide sort of begin, of course the so called hero who spear headed getting people on board for it changes heart and turns on everyone, usual stuff so if it stopped at that I could've dealt.
I think what turned me off that, to me at least it was so unexpected, I kept expecting for gravity to take hold and crush everything but it never did then he ended up in some space full of rooms of time and I was just like "really". I would've preferred if they kept the whole "they" ambiguous, that Brand went on to the 3rd planet and just started life there with the life capsules and that earth was just doomed, rather then going for some out there solution so everything could some up peachy.
I guess I just wanted it to stay more sci-fi and went in expecting that and as such its affected my reaction to the event negativity.
The new Robochop was ordinary. Hate it when they fuck up classics like that. The Adventures of Tintin ain't bad (I'll have to watch it again, been ages)... I used to love the cartoon. Looking forward to see what Jackson does with the next one. Interstellar was okay - wasn't terrible but definitely not absolutely brilliant either.
Oooh, Netflix . I actually didn't mind the new Robocop. Didn't think it was good as the original, but to me it was a bit like the Total Recall do-over, not bad but could have been so much better.
Been watching the Jack Irish telepics on Netflix of late, watched the first two and probably start the third today and they're a decent watch - I liked them a lot, although they're a genre I'm partial to, and they have Fitzroy FFC references, which probably coloured my opinion a bit. The order they're in is Bad Debts, then Black Tide, then the third one (sorry, memory fail, but there's only three, luckily). Liked it so much I looked it up on IMDB to see if they're doing more, and it looks like they're doing a six-part TV series .
Dredd was Fantastic. I thought maybe Robocop could be a similar.
The new Robocop just made me think of Daftpunk and made for PG-13 in the states when I saw a posters/trailers so I saved myself the disappointment.
A bit related, it's not a remake but it was a great action film, John Wick. Follows the trend lately of back to basics, no silly romantic subplots, physical effects, etc. Lately there's been a bit of rekindling of the genre a bit, like Mad Max.
Saw spectre last night. Enjoyed it but had a bit of a feeling it just was a bit, underwhelming? It was more Roger Moore this time which is maybe why. Felt like it just followed the formula, which is fine and all but it falls a bit flat when the other entries with Craig have been so unique and brought a bit more depth. I know Daniel Craig is keen to keep working with Sam Mendes but I hope this is the last Bond he does. I think Skyfall is as good as it will get from the partnership.

I think he said it was the last one he'll do. Heard it wasn't that good from other sources as well... pity.
Sorry to hear it wasn't quite 'there', totally agree on Craig making a great Bond. Will still watch it at some stage, am a bit of a Bond tragic. Will be interesting to see who they replace him with....
