best i know the settlers that are killed by the enemies jump back up after the fight, at least all of mine have so far.

I 'think' the person I killed was the guy you get the first Minuteman mission off... there was nothing I could do about it, I was fighting the Super Mutants and he just stepped into it... he dropped from one shot to the back of his head.

dogmeat was back at sanctuary in the kennel like you guys said thankfully.

@ gc; i really hope you didn't kill preston garvey, if you did i'd be looking to start over as tons & tons of quests start from him.

Nah not him - he first sends you out to see a guy to the east... I think I might have killed that guy. I completed his mission though to kill some raiders. I think then he joins the Minutemen.

Added to the above - that's the only mission I've done for Preston... which shows just how much I've played of the actual game. Been wandering the wastelands though. I just find it far more exciting/rewarding when you find things on your own rather than being directed to a location. The only problem is I've made no progress in the game... still only have one set of power armour which I never use. Base is insane though... nearly got it fully complete now. Once I've got more of the inside and balconies done I'll post up some pics.

i get caught up in the base building sometimes, almost always end up visiting a settlement, find they're short on something & then start building away.  usually end up with a multistory building full of mattresses of them, only put effort into sanctuary & the drive in really, the rest are just kinda full of homeless people haha.

Had a good game of it last night. Found this little settlement which had something peculiar going on... had to solve it. Also found this letter which led me to a sewer pipe entry that opened into a big room with locked doors I had to hack - and lots of goodies.

These are the moments I love about Fallout games. Still haven't done any of the main missions except one for the Minutemen and one for the Brotherhood.

So I went on one of my usual leisurely strolls scouring the wastelands. This time I thought I'd do the top end all the way to the far east. Got to this village, there were some raiders there... no big deal really. Then a Death Claw came out of nowhere... wasn't that worried but moments later I saw this big fucker come out of the mist (yes it was very misty)... really fucking big... Legendary Death Claw. Shat my pants... started running for my dear life but they run so fast he was closing in quickly. The roar of this thing was enough to give me nightmares for a week. Had to pause and quit the game. I didn't want to see the outcome. Had no power armour or anything... one bullet did nada. I had no hope in the world. Will avoid that area for the time being I think. haha.

something like that happened with me with some legendary robot next to a cabin.  i shot it, no health dropped & i had to leg it for ages.  every time i'd run out of breath it'd catch up & i think i ended up jumping off a cliff & losing it in a grave yard lol.

Spoiler

Went back there to scout it out again. There's a tower I saw... climbed to the top, they couldn't get up there. Got both the normal death claw down to around quarter health, legendary was a bit above half. Used all my ammo including grenades, mines etc. Took fucking ages because they run and hide and stalk you. As soon as I'd get back down the bottom they'd come for me so I'd have to get back up the top again - but I'd just lay mines all around that area to booby trap them. Still though - need to come better prepared, I want that legendaries fucking head. It'll be easy that way (cheating perhaps) but it takes ages.

Oh yeah - I didn't use a mini nuke on them as well... probably could do that I guess. I've got two (maybe 3) so I guess I could spare the other(s) for a rainy day. No doubt I'll find more anyway.

There's this dude not far from there who nukes you... one hit kill. Got a trophy thingy for it from memory.

nothing in the game really seems too scarce at the moment, only things i've really ran short on are cork, ceramic (can't keep up with ceramic !!!) & glue.  so nuke the suckers as you'll pick up more of them later for sure.

Well - guess what... The nuke re-energises it, back to full health! lol... I tested it out on the normal death claw and it annihilated it. It's a Legendary Alpha Death Claw as well. Dude is a beast. Nuke right to the face and it got stronger. haha.

And of course - that's why I want to kill it - for the legendary item.

legendary enemies regenerate their health, if you're quick enough you can kill them in one health bar, but they will regenerate once if you let them.  odds are you just knocked it down with the nuke & it regenerated back to full on you lolol, if you get it down again it won't (shouldn't) regenerate again.

It was half health when I launched the nuke. And then it was full health.

i haven't come across that guy yet fortunately.  but the legendary enemies do all regenerate their health, can't say for sure if your death claw was loving those rads or not though.  it'll usually say 'legendary regenerating health' on your screen when they do it & they'll have a kinda misty/gooey look about them after doing it.
