It has been a while since I posted here but I got some news.

First off I got engaged back in May, also moved out of home now have my own house (renting of course) sharing with a mate Dmc-chattie if you guys remember him, we are PC gamers now though.

I actually started using the PS4 again the other day after I received Shadow Fall from the misses (she still kinda plays the PS4) for no good reason. Only just installed it some updates for it today though I would be playing if my niece wasn't here. I am also too lazy to use a different account so I am using hers for the time being.

I am pretty sure Mr Eggy posted on here about that game Lasers, either way he got contacted by a publisher and it should be on Steam in the coming months. He is in the process of re-writing the whole game as he was unhappy with it. I am working with him on another project which I am doing some work for.

Hey Okeefe, congrats on the engagement :D.  Also, pass on congrats to Mr Eggy for getting a publisher for Lasers B).  It's good news day :D.  Recommend playing Shadowfall's MP, it's a lot of fun.  Not quite KZ2-worthy, but still very enjoyable.  SP's not bad, but just 'average' imo, not a bad play, but not essential.

Hey, Axe.

Everything's good. Thanks. How's it going over here?

I've been busy rebuilding 6A, but I'm waiting for a few software releases before I launch. Still undecided on what I want it to become, but ultimately I'd love to restore the amazing community we established over the years.

What's everyone playing nowadays?

I'm hanging out for Battlefront – potentially a resurgence in the competitive scene?

:)

Nice one Vlasta, looking forward to seeing it B).  All's well over here, with people playing a mix of things.  Destiny still has a few fans, and Elder Scrolls Online has picked up more players as well.  Rocket League has gotten a lot of recent attention, and by all accounts is a lot of fun.  I'm mainly playing slow-paced strategy titles m'self, mixed in with Elder Scrolls Online and other bits and pieces (speaking of which, I highly recommend giving CounterSpy a look if you haven't already - easily overlooked, but when I got around to giving it a play thought it was very enjoyable.  Not perfect, but fun).

Battlefront definitely looks the goods :D.  As for whether DICE will be bright enough to code in the things needed to make it work competitively I'll wait and see - I remember people hanging out for BF3 (I think, might have been BFBC2, it all gets a bit hazy....) to come out to spruce up the competitive scene, and it launched without private servers.  It got them after a while, but games really need them at launch to grab a big rather than niche audience (although Battlefront could be the exception, the gameplay looks tops).

I was furious about that. Sent a few tweets/emails to DICE composed of entirely capital letters.

What about Everybody's Gone to the Rapture? Anyone tried it? It received good reviews, but I tried to play it for 30 minutes and it was like watching paint dry. Apparently you need to immerse yourself, so I'll probably give it another go.

It's on my to play list, looks like a nice, quiet game to chill out with, but haven't gotten around to it yet.  Those kind of games you really need to be in the zone for or they can fall flat.  Have been trying out Volume at the moment (which isn't bad, only played about half an hour so far though, and I'd rate it as solid based on that, with potential to grow).
