I thought prometheus was absolutely horrible, worst movie I have seen in a long time.

lol it wasn't that bad - I just had too high expectations for it coming from Ridley. I think it helped me not seeing it in the movies to get over the let down of all the negative reviews and just enjoy it for what it was - a mindless popcorn flick.

It was still a great movie, it's just because our expectations were a little too high ( Just like any game after Kz2  )
I watched it at the movies, was good, just watching it that second time made it much better.
I'm never one to judge a movie that i want to see on reviews of tools.. I'm looking at you IGN aha

Its on my watch list, still gotta make the time to actually watch it. Do i have to watch anything before watching Prometheus to fully understand it?

I generally get my reviews from a wide source of sites rather than just one. Everyone has different tastes and reviews are usually opinions of one person so it's always good to get a good spread. If they're consistently bad or negative, then that's usually the case from past experience - but that doesn't mean I won't watch the movie. I just won't waste my time and money to see it in the movies and prefer to wait until it hits the shelves.

@ Outlaw - no you don't need to watch anything else.

If you're ever worried about having too high expectations from Ridley, just have a watch of his take on Robin Hood ;).

I just re watched Prometheus and can honestly say, it was a hell of alot better than watching it at the movies!
It's one of those movies you need to watch a couple times to fully understand/appreciate it IMO.

Still a few unanswered questions though, if there is a "Sequel" to it, hopefully it's still Ridley Scott and not passed to James Cameron like Aliens was (though i love the movie), would definitely need to be Ridley style!

Ridley does want to do a sequel, hence why so much was left vague. I'll be good to understand the Engineers intentions a bit more.

I heard that Dredd was supposed to be pretty good, like a yank version of The Raid, but not as good.

saw the new 21 jump street the other day with my sister haha because it was raining haha and we were stuck in doors at my beach house, actually one of the funniest movies i have ever seen aha, definetally worth a watch :). Personally as far as dark night vs dark night rises, i think that the joker is generally the most appealing villain haha, especially when he is acted and scripted so well haha, loved him in the dark night. That being said, Bain or whatver is pretty tank in the dark night rises haha. Owns batman in 1v1 haha, sick voice, sick attitude (for a villain haha), cheeky c**t in some scenes haha but when u realise he is acted by james hardy or whoever it is, u tihnk WAH?!? both great movies tbh haha and definetally worth a view by people who havn't seen it. Also i woudl highly reocmmend August Underground Mordum for anyone who hasn't seen it.

btw jokes hahaha do not watch August Underground Mordum, my mate told me to watch it and :| he challenged me to finish it and :| i' seen my fair share of horror movies personally, nothing too special, just like all the hostels, wolf creek, last house on the lefts, texas chainsaw massacres inlcuding texas chainsaw massacre the beginning, cannibal holocaust, cannibal and silence of the lambs (barely a horror though haha), all the saws, like i said, nothing too feral but definetally enough to put many people off, except this movie takes it to a new level haha DO NOT WATCH IT, unless your GraphicX, who probs watches it every night while having a bat b4 going to bed.

No matter what the story line is, no matter who they cast and no amount of special effects will make any batman be as good as the dark knight purely because of Heath ledger. It's a shame there hasn't been a best of Heath box set or something, bloody good actor.

Yeah I haven't seen the Dark Knight Rises yet but what made The Dark Knight so good was Heath... completely agree Saints. And also agree Scat, was pleasantly surprised by 21 Jump Street. Was expecting it to be lame but it turned out quite good.

yer exactly what i was implying, the character of the joker was always going to be amazing if executed correctly, and simply because it was scripted and acted incredibly, an amazing movie was produced. While the story line of the dark night was good, heath definetally did make it tbh haha.

Went and saw Judge Dredd on Friday night, was pretty decent for a remake.
Nothing against Karl Urban, he's just not Sylvester.
Still like the original better though

Thats the thing it wasnt meant to be a remake. It was more of an imagining of the comics. I liked Dredd better, but thats because i love seeing everything getting smashed and it reminded me of The Raid

Just watched Iron Sky, holy crap WTF.  It is the mose bizzare, satirical, politically incorrect and historical piss take movie ever.  This may sound like it is a good thing, but it's not.  Don't waste your time.  On a good note also watched Resident Evil: Damnation, pretty good worth a watch.
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee."   Jules Winnfield
