So now that Destiny has officially been released and settled, let's talk about Clans!

Bungie have been informing us that Clan communities will have an important place in the social world of Destiny so we can hopefully expect some good support for Clans as time goes on. Aside from the nice feeling of being in a bigger, in-game community group together and rocking some cool tags, some of Destiny's Trophies/Achievements do require players to party up in a full Fireteam filled with only clan members for various activities. So that's one good reason to join one if you haven't already . No doubt there'll be even more activities and challenges implemented down the track to keep the community going.



I haven't noticed any in-game options to check out clan activities or rosters yet but there are options to check on the Bungie website and app so far - this can be handy tool to be able check which clan members are actively playing Destiny, plan some raids and shooting sessions, and maybe to send a friendly request to play together and possibly even make new Fireteam buddies!

Our kind Dr Straussy is leading our official Good Game ANZ Clan, which is called "Good Game AUS NZ", and the link can be found in the link above. So far, we have completed the Vault of Glass Raid together and do play Destiny fairly regularly. We're up for having long grind sessions for a chance to pick up awesome loot, doing Crucible runs and completing the many bounties and difficult Daily/Weekly missions together (including the holy Raid) because we love the challenge! Meanwhile, we also have our fellow Whirlpool Resistance Clan actively circling about the GG forums as well as many others if you prefer, so there are lots of Destiny clans to pick from! The most important thing is to have fun .

If you're interested in joining our GG clan, you can apply directly on the Bungie website or app in the clan section with the link above. You can also post your interest here as well so that the admins can check and add you in a little quicker . Make sure to set whichever clan you choose as your "PlayStation Clan" to be counted as a clan member too .

Mini-update incoming:

To date, we have about 22 clan members in our Destiny Good Game Aus NZ clan, which I am quite proud of and pleasantly surprised about when people are still asking to join. I haven't been trying to manage a clan since the end of the Black Ops 2 days - and didn't really think we'd expand beyond GG members - but this has been immensely fun and much more laid back since everyone is cooperative and happy help out with different raids and activities even for no in-game rewards (thanks guys). Even though we wouldn't have needed a clan tag to play together, it does feel a lot more close-knit seeing us all rocking the same tag in orbit and results screens .

It's been fun getting to know different people and help them get through normal raids, garner more experience and then smash 'em in an hour or so. Next step for me is probably to keep helping the level 28-29 people complete more normal raids in the coming weeks to get the gear they need to reach level 30 for hard raids. Level 30 isn't absolutely necessary, but having more players at that level (or very experienced with the raids) just makes it a lot easier to get through for the rest of the team and to avoid having really, really, really long raid runs stuck at the Gatekeeper or Atheon.

Anyways, our core team and Destiny clan are the main reasons why I still play as much Destiny as I do so thanks a heap guys for making the game worthwhile despite its shortcomings. Thanks especially to the guys who are always willing to help in most raids and even stick around for hours on end for a lost cause... I don't know how you guys put up with it (or me for that matter, haha) .

Hey Live it's been fun.....

Been on holiday's for a week but back for so raids, need some boots for my warlock and have a lvl 25 titan almost ready to go....

So just let me know when there are on and i should be good to go.....

Hey guys, been playing Destiny for a while now, usually solo but have reached a point where I need to hook up with some other players to get passed level 29, particularly since I only completed (more like got carried through, thanks J319!)) my first raid last night.

PSN is rogueau and likely will be playing weekends and an odd weeknight here and there.

Hi, folks. I just went searching for Australian Destiny communities and this site came up. I don't have Destiny yet, although I'm getting very keen to splurge on the Legendary Edition. The thing is, I have an Xbox 360 (before you ask, no, I don't have the cash for an XB1), and as XBL separates 360 players from XB1 players I'm a little hesitant to get stuck in. Are you folks still active and are any of you 360 based?

G'day mate - we're primarily a PS3/PS4/PC crew here... I do own a 360 as do a couple of others but I personally haven't switched it on for at least a year. I'll get an XB1 eventually I guess but there needs to be a game that I really want (without it coming to PC).
