Welcome to GoodGame.net.au’s community Game of the Year 2013 Nominations and voting.

2013 has been a big year for gaming with big name releases and the recent release of the next now current generation of consoles into the wild. There are plenty of worthy contenders for the title which poses the question, what will be GoodGame's Community GOTY 2013?

We put it to you to decide.

Game eligibility:

• Released between 15/12/2012 and 15/12/2013 in Australia.
  
• All platforms are eligible.
  
• Compilations/HD re-releases/GOTY/Complete editions are not eligible.
  
• Platform ports of games are not eligible unless
  
  • They are drastically different or
    
  • the original platform they released on was in between 15/12/2012 and 15/12/2013.

Game nomination and voting period will close at midnight on the 15/12/2013.
You may change your vote at any-time before the close date by editing your previous post or making a new one which will void all your posts prior to it.

You may nominate and vote for up to three (3) games.

So “GameA” gets 3 points “GameB” 2 points and “GameC” 1 point.

Optionally you may also give a reason why “GameA” is your GOTY bearing in mind that your reason may be used in the GOTY article for the site.

Great stuff Spec .

We had a lot of good releases this year, we really did.  Reckon I'll go with:

3 - The Last of Us - it's just all that, a better, more polished and enjoyable third-person adventure game, with a better told story, I can't recall.

2 - Europa Universalis IV
1 - Killzone: Shadowfall - a bit of an early punt here, but the MP really is very good.

3 - Dynasty warriors 8. Obviously coming from me haha!
2 - Tomb raider. Was one of the greats of this year, cant deny that.
1- Shadowfall. Like axe, just a punt. I played a little of it at a mates friday night, much better than the pos before it lol. Has the potential to last half the activity kz2 had.

Didnt really play many new games this year, was more of a catch up year for me so that'll have to do haha.

Play it before you judge it - I've played BF4 and KZ:SF, and KZ is a far better piece of work at this point in time, and I'd say more tightly designed in terms of gameplay as well.  Dem 'professional' reviewers did the gaming public a disservice on this one.

Haha, I suspect Bioshock is better, but I haven't played it yet, so can hardly vote for it .  That said, I am actually enjoying KZ's MP a lot - it's taken me by surprise.  In fact, I might go and play some more now .

It's only optional to vote for 3. 1, 2, 3 game nominations are all fine.

My top 3 are:

1. The Last Of Us - Thoroughly enjoyed the Single Player Campaign and then got into the awesome Multiplayer as Jykes was promoting the TLoU Comp . Goes to number one spot because both parts were unique and awesome.

2. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - I felt so overwhelmed by how simple and innocent this game was when I first started. It was a big breath of fresh air after realising that I've been playing mostly violent, mature-rated games for a while (e.g. TLoU, CoD, Payday 2, Far Cry 3...), plus the story and visuals are great and the gameplay and Pokemon-style battle system is fun.

3. Grand Theft Auto V: Loved the characters in Single Player (well, just Michael and Trevor mostly, haha). Online is also awesome with a good bunch of people to play with.

My other faves include Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Dynasty Warriors 8 .

Loving the ps4 but couldn't put any ps4 games for GOTY above these.

Metro Last Light I really wanna see another Metro game.

My single vote is for The Last of Us.  

An honourable mention for PayDay2, as it only had a few launch issues but was good value for the price.

Honourable mentions to Arkham orIgins...actually a very fun game, payday 2, tomb raider and ghosts mp (which I'm enjoying). Thumbs down to beyond two souls. Looking forward to shadowfall and bf4.
