Just finished my second stint of my DS2 hardcore run from the start of chapter 7 to the start of 11. Been using Wolfwood824 hardcore walkthrough on youtube making a massive difference. Just under 5 hours so far the end is in sight I can see it.

Sounds like Dead Space 2 hardcore run. 1 life from what I remember. That'd surely inherit the 'survival' horror tag playing at the difficulty. haha.

Yep it's Dead Space 2, hardcore run involves you going through the entire game with 3 saves only and your last save point acts as a checkpoint. There is definitely a risk vs reward feeling whether you push on at the risk of losing a couple of hours. I started watching the video after chapter 7 they definitely helped a lot, I pushed my second save a whole chapter back as they made parts I was worried about look easy. Only around an hour and a half from the end.

My sisters doing that, Speaking as an Alonso fan it sucks watching him wrangle that mule of a car and 5.30 is to early for that, there's the off chance if I wake up around then I may have a look.

Also just finished my third stint of my DS2 hardcore run from the start of chapter 11 to midway of 13. By far my most nerve wrecking and a big moment of self doubt nearing the end thinking of saving earlier but I pushed through and had two near deaths for my trouble. Only 30 minutes from the end now. Also had my first death lost a total of wait for it 1 minute died straight after loading out of shear stupidity refusing to both use stasis and heal.

Yeah - I really don't want to see Vettel win a third year in a row... I'd like to see Alonso get his third before him but it's pretty much inevitable now with Alonso starting 8th on the grid. Everyone knows he's the best driver - and it's amazing that he lead the championship for so long with that car. :)

Yep, Alonso being taken out at Spa was what killed it, Vettel wouldn't have finished second if Alonso and Hamilton weren't taken out by Grosjean, watching the last race I was just sitting there yelling at the television every time a car crashed that was infront of him.
When that car didn't even get off the start I just new it, he had his chance and he grabbed it and strangled the hell out of it.

Didn't know whether to make my own thread in the help section, but this'll do lol.

I got S2 of game of thrones on a USB, the problem being that they're all in MP4 format and they wont play on any of the 5 DVD players in this house haha! Is there anything i can do to change the format so i can play them on my dvd player and not need to use my PS3/PC to watch them?

If you're playing BO2, there's the (absolutely awesome) 'Mute all except party' option.  Possibly my favourite CoD-related innovation since CoD4 B).

Just Platinumed dead space 2.

Game stats
Deaths
Main game 2 casual, 2 hardcore, 7 zealot
Hardcore deaths
Chapter 11: Downhill ramp, First death by crawling stalker, this was entirely avoidable first I rush straight to the bottom get knocked over twice before being slashed to death, things that would have stopped this; not running to the bottom, using the contact beam, the detonator, stasis, health packs. In the end it cost me 1 minute.
Chapter 14: Tiedmann managed get me with his javelin, didn't pay attention and caught the qte to late. lost about 25 minutes.
I had the supernova DLC, and used the detonator, contact beam and plasma cutter to chapter 7 when I added the ripper to my arsenal.
Saved at chapters 7(start), 11(start),13(end) and finished in 6h21m07s, very enjoyable experience.

DLC severed 0 casual, 3 zealot

Time
Casual 6h49m47s
Hardcore 6h21m07s
Zealot 4h27m01s

I had the supernova DLC, and used the detonator, contact beam and plasma cutter to chapter 7 when I added the ripper to my arsenal.
Saved at chapters 7(start), 11(start),13(end)
I played up to chapter 10(Ishimura) in zealot ng+ with the normal weapons before bringing out the foam finger gun, to romp home.

After those two it was clear that zealot was harder, the main difficulty with hardcore was that fear of lost time, you had more ammo, the enemies went down easier and didn't hit as hard.

Overall really enjoyed the game, the story has my intrigued, and loved the lack of hud, I felt most weapons had their pace but some weren't that useful, the atmosphere was top notch, so glad I picked this up even though it was extremely late.

Also yes Alonso is still in with a chance.

Indeed he is. And Brazil is known for it's unpredictability. I've got a good feeling about this.
