Cool! I'll send an addy when I get on :D. Trangh doesn't have a PS4 yet but he's still playing heaps of TLoU on the PS3 haha. I'd say he'll be up for this and Destiny when he gets one eventually.

Just have a question for everyone here, does the game play any differently than it did previously, any new parts/objectives? Only reason I ask is that everyone bitches about new CODs being a rehash and don't buy it....... Just saying
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee."   Jules Winnfield

Haha, well this plays _exactly_ like TLoU on PS4 other than the resolution, frame rate and some better textures, but that's because it's a remaster, and not TLoU 2 or anything like that.  Think of it more like re-purchasing a game that you already like on a new system, rather than a sequel that's more of the same.  That said, I'm not actually against sticking to a formula if it's fun, I have no issue with CoD's being a rehash or generally consistent in mechanics over time (indeed, I'd have preferred if BF4 was more like BF3, most of the changes pushed me away from the game).

If you look at movies, there's plenty of re-hashing (Arnie's still doing action movies after 30 years, lol B)), I think that as gaming matures we'll get past this 'innovation urge' (noting that many of the gamers that complain about the lack of innovation don't actually play the games that do present a bunch of new ideas or new mash-ups, and are just as likely to complain when things do actually change in the big series ;)).

I definitely wouldn't recommend TLoU for anyone who didn't enjoy the original, but if people want more of the same with a bit more shiny, faster loads and more reliable network performance (the online hasn't frozen on me once on PS4, but did intermittently on PS3), then it's a good pick.

I played through the original twice, normal & survivor, and yeah got a little bored during another normal playthrough, so moved onto grounded which is a lot more challenging.   Not sure if grounded mode was in the original but its something new for me anyway.

The MP is still good fun, cept for playing solo and constantly joining games and being put on the losing side mid-game.   Happened 4 times in a row on friday arvo before I went to a gig, had to rage quit and play dont starve instead.

Nice work Jyks! I started Grounded the other day, seems like there's little to no room for error. I hope I have the patience to make it through. Will you tackle grounded + mode next, or was that enough naughty dog torture for now?

Will probably go for Grounded on Left Behind,  Grounded+ would be too easy, as I would have max health, weapon sway and shiv master maxed, I have the bow and shotgun maxed too.  If I run through the main story again it will be on Easy to complete all the collecting stuff challenges, but I avoid those in most games as they result in trophies and the potential of getting a plat ;)
