That is a little sneaky Dunny, technically Sony's at fault (if it's the packed-in controller) so should bear the cost, rather than volunteer JB for taking the cost instead, although if (and it may well work this way, but I've got no idea - anyone got any thoughts/info on this?) JB gets reimbursed by Sony for dodgy merchandise, then it should all work out in the wash.

my only issues with PS4 is when i browse my friends list, all i'm getting is blank blue square boxes. i have around 180 friends. now that i have trim it down to under 100, i don't have that issue anymore.

i guess they should continue to limit of 100 friends like ps3 did, i have no issues with ps3 previously (though i constantly can't accept new friends)

yes, i'm popular, can't help it :P

Time to vent. After blowing smoke up Sony's arse an saying how great their after sales service is, I would like to take that all back. Still waiting now after 5 days for Sony to sed me an email confirming the conversation I had with one of their reps! I've now sent 2 emails, that no one appears to want to respond to, next one may have to mention Microsoft.
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee."   Jules Winnfield

When I got my PS4 I didn't like the feel of the rubber on the sticks so I just popped on one of the Kontrol Freek sets I got form the gta races. Had no real problems at all actually made the controller more comfy in my hands I even gave my spare set to my mate who had the same problem he had been though 3 controllers had no problems since.I even upgrade to a ps4 set since the ps3 set put a small scratch on  the ps4 controller and did come off every now and again when you have the stick held forward and clicked it in.

Where did you buy the Kontrol Freek ps4 pair from? One of my controllers is falling apart, may try to use them to keep it in the game.

You can ask me nicely Eco, as I think I have a spare PS4 set or two :)    I get em in bulk from KF.

If you want to put PS3 KFs on a PS4, super glue em :P

Please sir Mr Jykel :)  I promise not to shoot you too often in Killzone with them (you usually smash me anyway).

Looks like they're about $28 incl postage on ebay. I'd be more than happy to paypal you some money for a pair or two of ps4 KF's. PM me the details if you are happy to part with a set or two.

Cool, I will check my stocks tonight and let you chaps know what I have.  I will probably end up doing another bulk order soon as well and make em available GGers at a cheaper price.

My fav config is:

Left Stick (Justice) :  Posted Image

Right Stick (Elite):  Posted Image

On the PS3 I never used one on the Left Stick, but PS4 controller needs one, for me anyway

I like the vortex as for the left stick it has a small concave in it so my thumb sits in it nice compared to the flat black ones I had that I gave away and its right stick is slightly higher than normal makes good for my big man hands.

As I said it is not me (I have had no issues with my PS4 stuff) that approach has taken out the wait times or issues with dealing with anyone about problems.

Aye, sorry, didn't mean to suggest you were doing it, just poorly phrased on my part.

Damn, my PS4 keeps shutting itself down lately - sometimes I can play for a few hours without an issue... then it beeps and shuts down with a couple more beeps. It's in a well ventilated area and doesn't feel excessively hot to the touch. Anyone else had this problem?

 That doesn't sound good Eco, sorry to hear it's playing up.  I'm afraid I haven't heard anything about it.  Good luck, I hope whatever it is, is easy to fix :).

Yeah, not too happy about it :(

I've researched it and I am trying a few tips, but I think it's probably on its way out. Not sure I'll buy another one straight away if it dies, a year and a half lifespan is extremely disappointing. It will just give me a reason to visit my massive vita/ps3 backlog.

A year and a half lifespan is bollocks if it does go.  Are there places that repair PS4s, and does it sound like something that's common-ish?

I'm sure I could send it to Sony for a fee to have it repaired or get a refurb unit. Unfortunately it's out of warranty, so it'll cost a pretty penny to do so - I'm way too disappointed with the system at the moment to do that.
