This monitor is ridiculously wide... particularly when you are browsing just one page on the web. I think I could have about 4-5 across. haha.

Gotta admit - Windows is really annoying to get going. Quite a few problems I've bumped into along the way as opposed to a Mac where you just turn it on and it all works beautifully.

Photoshop is even having problems because of having SLI... didn't know about that. Will definitely dig into it deeper to see if it can be resolved. Don't think there's driver support for 900 series cards as well. Downloading Divinity now, will have a lash at that for 10 mins or so. Been a long night.

windoze is annoying full stop, i can honestly picture you buying a mac for work in the near future & keeping the pc just for gaming as it will really stand between you & your productivity.

I got the Photoslut problem fixed... it wasn't even registering how much VRAM I had before, now it knows so thankfully that's done. Fired up Divinity very late last night (or early this morning)... didn't go further than the menu screen but darn it looks spunky in 21:9. Still got lots to do today before I can relax and play games though, last night was just phase one really.

Pretty much done setting it up - I think I'll have a week off, next week I'll get all the files across whilst I come to grips with the OS.  I'm definitely learning a lot and finding my way around quicker but I'm nowhere near expert yet. Everything is so backwards compared to OSX. I think they should really just re-design it from the bottom up. They should fuck all the tablet shit off as well... I think what the problem is it's all too complicated, they need to simplify everything... that's why OSX is better, everything makes sense and it's simple.

If I had a gun, I'd shoot the bastard that designed it - it's that bad. haha.

where do you store your work files gc ?  if you aren't already i'd really recommend keeping them on a NAS or similar rather than on any hdds in the pc.

I'm running RAID 1 plus I'll have a NAS as well for archiving mate... could even mirror them if I wanted to as well (just in case one goes).

well that's good news, i was anticipating a year's grace & then being hit with annual costs.  i'm guessing it's something along the lines of the xbox one stuff where they were intending to do something along those lines but have now withdrawn it.

All good mate - it's getting better and better the more I use it and understand it (if that makes it a little more clear). I never use that tablet screen though (or whatever it's called) with all the tiles. Seems like a complete waste of system resources if you ask me. Desktops FTW!!!

On a very funny side note (as least I think it is)... although the SLI was set up, it wasn't activated in the Nvidia Control Panel... worked that out yesterday as well. lol I'm about as noob with PC's as I am with gaming these days.

Ran some benchys on that Unigine engine thingamabob - pulling some good numbers on ultra everything, however I doubt games would look that good or be that demanding for some time.

not real sure but that apps type screen i think was to replace the start bar which they ended up adding back in anyway, so it's redundant really, think it's very similar to the launch pad in osx.

Yeah, it is like Launch Pad now that you say it... I never have used Launch Pad though. Windows 10 will have it in the Start Menu which I think is far better.
