Hi Everyone,
Good Game ANZ will be holding its first mixed objective-based Tournament for Call of Duty: Ghosts between this November and December. Known as Clan Sixes, the purpose of this tournament is to enable clans to have an early go at playing Call of Duty: Ghosts competitively, while maintaining a social, fun and easy-going approach to the short tournament. Check out the details below and register your team here if you're interested in playing a few weeks of competitive goodness before the holiday season hits.
Structure
The Clan Sixes is intended to be played in a 6v6 player format, but the minimum requirement for this particular season is 4v4 for the matches in order to make for an easier entry point for some smaller teams and clans. There will only be three rounds of Round Robin and then a Finals Round based on the final ladder due to the approaching Christmas holidays. In each round, teams will play to win the best of 5 games.
All teams are encouraged (but not required) to play the full five games, especially in this particular tournament so we can gather more feedback on the game modes. In the case of when a team wins 3-0 and the opposing team chooses not to continue the playing the rest of the round, the winning team will then score a full 5-0 in points as default. Please keep in mind that this is a very short tournament mainly to gather some early feedback for next year's more official competitions. So each team may not be able to play every team in the Round Robin Stage before Finals.
For the full schedule and layout of the Tournament, have a look in the Tournament Structure/Layout thread. Teams can schedule battles in the Scheduling forum and post results in the Results forum.
Rules
With the exception of Grenade Launcher attachments, Akimbo attachments and certain secondary Launchers, the tournament rules, maps and game modes will be mostly unrestricted for this first season of Clan Sixes. Have a look at the exact ruleset for this tournament in the Ruleset thread, and make sure to abide by our General Rules for Competitions and Events here.
Feedback
As we've mentioned, feedback on the progress, structure and any particular restrictions for this and future Call of Duty: Ghosts competitions is very welcome and much appreciated from everyone. Simply post your insights and thoughts where you see fit and most relevant so that everyone else can see and discuss the details too.
Signing Up
If you're in for this small, easy-going tournament in preparation for the more intense and competitive Call of Duty: Ghosts Tournaments next year, register your Team and Roster in the Sign-Up thread here and be sure to nominate at least two representatives or contacts for your team on Good Game ANZ.
