I'm having an issue with embedding youtube into a post. Is it restricted or am I doing something wrong? Help please

Yep, usually you can just post up a youtube video with the media tags [media][/media], which is fairly simple.

But if you want to post up videos in the specific Gaming Videos section for Trailers or anything like that, then there's a "How to" post with instructions and a link to embed videos and you can go from there. There's also one for the Off-Topic section too

You should only have to post the basic YT link and it'll be in your post automatically.

Yeah - that's what I thought. The only time it doesn't work is if it's an embedded link.

Yeah you can just paste the youtube url it'll automatically convert into an embedded video, just make sure its a normal clean youtube url and not a secured url.

For example

This will work

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ClcYZi7p0Y

This will not work (notice the S at the end of http - this means its a secured link and cant be embedded)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ClcYZi7p0Y

Ok thanks guys I'm pretty sure I only tried posting the YT embed code alone and then I started trying different things but never simply posted the link as I thought it would just be a hyperlink.

Strangely I was thinking of that the other night - I hadn't cleaned out mine in donkeys. I've got 32 pages thanks primarily to Axe! lol

There, have another .  You can clean them out though?  I think you can just ignore them, can't you?

There is no way to delete them all at once but I did reduce the time from 3 months to 1 month, so it'll only keep the old notification for a month. Unfortunately that's as low as it'll go.

I click on notification everytime I jump on so only new one show everytime..no biggie
