I'm about 15 hours into PS4, and enjoying it a lot.  The controls are generally very good, although a little clunky on occasion.  There's a few glitches, more than your average console game, but probably close to average for PC? (But, as it was developed for PC first, it may have less glitches on that platform, but I've only played it on console).  Deffo no serious issues on PS4, and having a lot of fun.  Graph'll be able to clue us up on how it runs on PC .

i put a few hours into wasteland 2 the other day, it's still great, but something isn't quite right.  when i played it the game was new, no new engine, no controller support etc etc & most things you had to read (now they have voice actors).  i'm pretty sure it's the controller that's killing it for me, it's just not working right & is far too difficult to do the simplest things with.  i'm 100% a controller gamer, but it's just not working for wasteland 2, whereas before i never had any issues & pretty sure it was keyboard & mouse back then (note; tons of turn based games use controller support & do so extremely well, but in wasteland 2 too many commands are kinda hidden & just scrolling the screen requires press R3 to change mode, then do what you need & then press R3 twice to return to the mode you usually use).

me & my party are getting our butts handed to us so as before i'm going to play a little longer & then start over, but going to whip out the kb & m & see how i get on.

man wasteland 2 has me by the balls again lol.  i literally can't put it down & have sunk something like another 11+ hours into it !!!!!

controller - totally comfortable now, it felt weird, bit of a learning curve but totally worth it.  would go console or pc on it no dramas as playing with the controller anyway.

i did a restart on the game, totally new character builds based around playing for 2 hours with the first party which was getting hammered.  if you want smokey i'll post up what i did so you can build similar, if not then recommend you do a restart as well as the game is massive & you really want your characters right from the start.

have a party of seven now, with a robot following me & a rat.  both of them have low health, but the robot does ridiculous damage (can kill even massive robots in a single attack, can take out 2 easily in the one turn but i have no control over it).

also saved the ag centre, but lost high pool, when i played it through before i did it the other way round.  not sure if there's a way to save both but i've never done it.

party i have is extremely strong.  remembered it being important to have a strong leader as that buffs the stats for accuracy etc for every member of the party.  also have everyone specialised & can open/disarm most things now.  really loving the game =)

Great to hear Graph .  I'm really enjoying it as well, well over 20 hours in.  I didn't do a restart, so my party isn't as sharp as yours, but I'm just playing on normal, so I reckon I can get away with it.  I'll definitely give it another go-round in the future with a bit more of a focussed approach.

No - any of your crew playing R3E?

And Axe - Obduction... one puzzle has ruined the whole game for me. Not that it's difficult - it's just a pain in the rear having to go back and forth through loading screens to do it (loading screens take around a minute). Also up and down elevators and stairs. Gave up on it. Worst design ever! Shame really.

  Totally know what you mean, and you have my sympathy, always a shame when stuff like that doesn't get left on the cutting room floor.  What's next on Clowny's gaming agenda?

Still playing ETS2 with Pro Mods which makes the game ridiculously huge. Also battling away in R3E, currently third in a time trial championship... will see how long that lasts, but it could end up a top tenner.

Been waiting for Doom to drop in price - hanging to play that. Also a game called Virginia which is out this month (can't remember exactly when). Also waiting for Firewatch and The Witness to drop in price.

Planet Coaster in November (I think) as well. While I'm at it, Forza Horizon 3? in Australia releases soon as well... looking forward to some more 'arcadey' type racing now that it's coming to PC as well.

Lots of games I could go back and play as well... but I think they're all too big for me to focus on these days (as I've said many times before).

At least you'll have something to do in retirement   (A lot of those bigger games are slower as well - I suspect we'll struggle a bit with the quicker stuff once we're into our 60s ).

I tried it ages ago on PC, got put off by the economic model with pretty much all shops wanting real money, that's my memory anyway and awhile ago. How is it now?

I picked up Hearts of Iron IV and I turned Australia communist, probably not the best idea for my first playthrough lmao.

Yeah - it's a bit like that. Looking forward to FH3 though as it's in Australia and on PC. Wouldn't call it a sim though but it looks like a truckload of fun.

I only really do time trials in R3E anyway. Not many Aussies play it - very European based with DTM etc.

Hahaha, love your work .  Hope you enjoy, if you have any questions about anything, hit me up - I'd hope I'd at least be able to point you in the right direction if I couldn't answer them directly.  There's a new patch out soon as well, 1.2, which should help some of the AI issues.  Forward Comrade .

Just started playing DOTA2 and Mafia2

Gave up on Overlord 2(PC) right near the end controls better then one but the checkpoints were worse and that's what turned me off from finishing that, having to leave to get souls for more minions and you and your minions just felt weaker compared to one.

Finished up inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood(PS3) I liked vampire flight ability, other then that felt just like the expansion of 2 it is.

Also finished up Killzone(PS3) enjoyed going back and playing it again, forgot how inaccurate the guns could be though, it was head shaking when a lined up shot missed cause the bullet doesn't even end up firing within the retractile, Luger's main gun was a good example.

Next up went through Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands(PS3) I enjoyed it had good balance between combat and platforming. I enjoyed the platforming and introducing new powers into it as you progressed. The final platforming section in the tower at the end was tough for me, it was easy to see what you had to do just pulling it off took me several goes. Only really issue I would have was the control scheme wasn't different to what it usually is in games I play as such there were quite a few times I would jump off to my death and stuff. Only complaint would be that I wish the combat had some more combos.

Also gave Resogun(PS3) a go. I really enjoyed SuperStarDust HD and Dead Nation but this just didnt gel with me as much. I found it alright but found annoyances in having enemies spawn on top of me and I found the shield pretty much useless and hate that its only a timed power up since almost every-time I got one it would run out before I would get hit. SSHHD was more enjoyable for me.

Also had co-op with Live in Saints Row: Gat out of Hell(PS3) it was enjoyable, silly fun story with even a musical in it. Preferred the city in it compared the one the used for 3 and 4.

Also bought the season pass for Assassin's Creed III(PS3) from the Ubisoft sale. It wasn't too bad, enjoyed the powers but they over did it with the amount of enemies, if you like to collect chests or do the in-world missions you had to be prepared to fight at least 15 enemies.

Now I am off to AC: Rouge as I also bought the Templar edition which was cheaper then the normal one from the Ubi sale.
