Thanks for the info Spec B).  A little wary of this - War Thunder's F2P model on PC is apparently fairly solid (it matches plane class with each other in online matches, so people in a Hurricane II aren't up against folk in a Fw-190 D), but Namco have a pretty torrid record with the kind of things they monetise in DLC.  Of course, at F2P, I'll deffo give it a decent shake, would be great to see plenty of other folks give it a gander :D.

+1 - have always wondered why they don't update the digital titles with the latest patch data as well.  Am sure there'll be some reason why they can't, hopefully it'll be sorted for next-gen.

XCOM is bloody brilliant, and everyone I know who's played Spec Ops was a big fan, so those two hopefully won't disappoint.  If you want a game of XCOM MP, let me know :D.

Not bad from what ive played so far, probably a few hours before i went out. Story has me a little confused, gameplay's some what pretty decent.
Controls suck ass for a TPS, like really suck haha. Ducking, running to cover, switching to cover, it's just hard to play it coming from loving Ghost Recon franchise..

Quite enjoying Xcom at the same time it's pissing me right off.

Playing it on either medium or hard and the battles are a little easy once you get the hang of it and such, especially with my heavy appropriately named "Drake" hehe. It's just the management thats killing me haha, think i had like 4 countries in the red with no idea how i can keep it down. The whole lack of engineers and cash to make more uplinks for the satellites because apparently i have to be all places all the time. Might have to replay on easy to get the hang of it before starting hard again.
Why they couldnt make a couple other teams ill never know haha.

Had a bit of fun with axe ;) earlier, nearly 1v5 clutched him before failing to win with 3 super soldiers haha xD

Thanks for the games Saintsy, were deffo top fun, and you sooooo nearly had me in that first one B).  Deffo up for more sometime - I was a bit slow thinking yesterday, but we can drop the points available right down so we can only use lower-level stuff that you'll be used to as well, you were at a bit of a disadvantage yesterday.

@ Graph - anytime you want to get into the mix, just say the word, consider your 1v1 XCOM challenge issued :P.

Think I am going to l lose a few days playing these games before I get around to the other games I want to play (Tomb Raider and Alan wake)

A few days? More like a few months. They're both enormous games.

Oh i'll be ready for you next time haha, less points would be good so i dont go batshit crazy again lol.

Just spent what seemed a lifetime assaulting a cargo ship? Fuck me that was intense, only lost 1 unit against a BS amount of aliens and mechs haha.
Col. Assaults and Heavies are the tits, 2 rockets and 2 quick shots are what got me through it. Do snipers actually get good? The one i've got trained pretty much just uses his pistol since snipers suck, even with 100%, while they've got their back to you ==".
That and the chances suck balls, they can hit for 10 a mile away but I be "in yo face" and miss or hit 1 haha.

The gameplay seems so much harder on easier than hard 0.0, no clue whats going on haha. One main problem im having is my ships (even with upgraded weapons and such) don't seem to do anything against UFO's which pisses the council off and gives me an F grade which pisses me off haha!

Nice one Saintsy :D.  Deffo looking forward to more games B).  In terms of snipers, they do get very good, deffo recommend sticking with them.  From memory, odds for hitting from a sniper drop right up close, so keep them at distance.  With the interceptors, are you buying/using the expendables, like the thing that lets you dodge fire and the like?  They can make quite a difference used at the right time.

Yeah i generally kept him back more, but i found having another heavy/assault more useful. I've got the alien ships (Was a pain to spread them out ==") and ive got some of the expendable items, just don't have any alloys left to buy more since i can't shoot them down to get said alloys haha

Found out why i was failing.. It seems all my "plasma cannons" where on the wrong planes haha.

Just assaulted one of the battleships, Col. Samuel "Motherfuckin" Jackson gave his life to save those that fell on the battlefield, may you rest in piece. 41 missions and 76 kills, kinda sad when your last original dies haha.
But im ready for you axey, Approach me in an aggresive manner, good sir ;)

Snipers were really good to me - I usually had two of them - one on either side (left and right) spread out. But yeah, there's a lot to get your head around with managing stuff, I think the tutorial at the start is a little brief as it's much deeper and you have to work most of it out yourself. Top bloody game though.

Nice one Clowny :D.  Excellent game, hope you enjoy it :D.  May have mentioned it before, but you'll probably find it a little easy on normal, if you want a challenge, deffo start a level above that.
