Interesting they've gone PS3 only, would have thought they'd be able to sell a few over on X360.  Either way, might have to grab this, thanks for the info Spec B).

New WRC video game coming this year

Quote

An all-new version of the FIA World Rally Championship's official video game will be launched at the end of October.

Called WRC 4, it is the latest chapter in the series that has sold more than 7 million copies since it first went on sale in 2002.

The new game features all the rallies from the 2013 WRC calendar, complete with all leading teams and drivers.

Players will have the chance to experience improved graphics, new weather effects and a revamped Career Mode.

The game will be revealed to the trade and public for the first time at the Gamescom exhibition in Germany from 21 August, before an official launch on 30 October at Paris Games Week.

Available for Xbox 360, Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, WRC 4 is the first in the series to be released by Bigben Interactive, the company that recently acquired the WRC video game publishing and distribution rights.

The game itself is being developed by Milestone, specialists in racing games and the creators of the last three versions.

“We are very pleased and proud to become the publisher of this famous racing franchise”, said lain Falc, chief executive of Bigben Interactive. “This is a new step in the partnership built with Milestone over the past few years. All our efforts are done to offer players the most complete and realistic WRC videogame”

Luisa Bixio, Bigben’s marketing and sales director added: “This brand new chapter, different from the previous reboot of the series, will include many of the improvements requested by the community. A lot of the features that we’ve seen on the official Facebook page or received by mail have been incorporated.

“We’re convinced that WRC 4 represents a step forward for the series and will be appreciated by players.”

I haven't touched any of the Milestone developed WRC titles as much as I like rally games they just haven't looked up to par enough to get me to jump. Perhaps this will be the one to get me to take the plunge with no DiRT game on the horizon.

I've read they are pretty shit - I miss having a good Rally game, Dirt went too mainstream.

That's why I have avoided them. DiRT2/3 had its moments and I didn't mind the other racing disciplines(bar Gymkhana) in moderation plus I also liked that since CMR2005 they have included Raid trucks but yes I wish they would put less emphasis on the X-Games/other disciplines and put more on what made it great on the PS2 days the rally cars and locations.

Totally agree - Evolution were the last mob that did a great WRC game.  Dirt games are fun, but they're too razzle-dazzle these days to qualify as a pure rally game.  You never know, this might be Milestone's 'breakout' WRC game?  I'll wait for the reviews though ;).

DW7 doesn't have an install option. Not too sure about DW8 or the Empires versions though.

Haha yeah. DW7 only really has two modes (Conquest and Story) so I was thinking about getting Xtreme Legends or maybe Empires. Or DW8 when it's not so expensive :D.

Final Fantasy XIII-3-Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII: Vanille confirmed, fourth continent revealed, more

Costume Color Customization
Lightning's boobs have gotten bigger and now jiggle.
Over 100 types of shops.
There are four continents to explore in Lightning Returns-one of which The Wildlands is a open-world area in vain of Skyrim.

Sounds good except for one pointless addition.

Its how they artificiality lengthen the game by having you run between all the shops trying to find out which one is the skimpy outfit store so you can find the best outfit to see Lightnings new boobs.

Just finished Chaos difficulty on Dw6 and i have to say it was rather disappointing.. I went from saving before/after every officer and base to not saving in game at all. I was hoping it would be BS all the way through but as i levelled up, it got easier :( .

Hopefully Dw7/8 has fixed that for when i manage to find a copy of it. Atleast for now my fingers can rest easy knowing i don't have to button mash square/triangle/R1 anymore haha

Looks like Axe can have many a friend in Ace Combat: Infinity as its F2P.

In the new co-op multiplayer, skilled aces will form two teams of up to four players and compete to inflict the most damage on a common enemy.”
