I'm impressed with the beginning. Feels like a pretty natural season 10 so far. The lore of the X Files did become a bit of a mess so remains to be seen if it can still keep that up but so far it's fantastic.

Okay - so I started watching The Flash. Great first episode, heard it gets better as well.

Question though - a part in it looks like he meets up with the Arrow dude (?), at least I think that's him. Do I need to watch any of the other shows or am I okay just to watch The Flash only?

Pretty sure you're safe.
I think the only time you need to switch between the 2 is in Season 2 of The Flash(as it's 2 part and continues on Arrow).

Ah - I see. I remember reading they were connected in some way.

Haha yeah, some of these Series are a bit like that, i was like that with Arrow.

Just finished S2 of the Musketeers, found it to be a bit boring but did pick up in S2. If you're into the time period and like drama-ish tv series, you'll probably like this one.

Finished the first season of Longmire the other day and it was pretty solid.  Not quite top-drawer, but very close and well worth a watch.  Also has Katee Sackhoff in it for all the BSG fans on withdrawals :).

You know they're making a BSG movie? Won't have Katee in it though. She was awesome as Star Buck. I remember back when they announced that Star Buck would be female - everyone (including myself) were like NOOOO!! But man were we wrong.

I really love Longmire, your right it's great to see Katee in it. For me it gets better as a series as the seasons go on too Axe.

Finished watching Stargate lol, was good to re-watch them all again.
Still shits me off that's how they left it rather than finishing the last 2 seasons.

Commiserations Saintsy.  All the best sci-fi is left not properly finished (Firefly anyone?), although this isn't a good thing!

I didn't know that Clowny, good news :).  Is it most of the same cast, or is it a re-boot type thing?  Agree on the female Star Buck as well - I was with everyone else on that, and like everyone else I was wrong :).  She does a great job in Longmire as well - a strong/similar character, but not quite the same (and setting is quite different, as you'd expect).

Good to know :).  It definitely earned a season 2 viewing from me, am looking forward to it :D.

As far as I know it'll be recast. Here's the lowdown... haven't read it though so could be a whole lot of waffle.

Cheers Clowny B).  Gave it a read and sounds like there's not much info yet, it says they're yet to decide (or at least make public) what angle they want to take.  Will be interesting, am very happy with sci-fi making a come back, was slim pickings there for a few years.

Wrapped up Season 2 of Vikings the other day, and thought it was quite good.  At times, you could see it was perhaps trying to be a little bit too much like Game of Thrones, but by and large it maintains its own identity and is a good watch :).
