- First six episodes of Spartacus.  Was a Kiwi production, so tried to give it a chance, but not really my thing.  Writing made the dialogue in Killzone 2 and 3 look good (no, I'm sadly not exaggerating), characters were really poorly done, and plot was atrocious (not to mention the swordfighting, which was solid some of the time, and really awful at others), but if you're looking for mindless violence and nudity, it's the show for you :).  Like to finish what I start, but couldn't with this one.

I quite enjoyed it for what it was lol. But as you said, mindless violence :P But i do believe the fight scenes were purposely filmed like that. Had quite a chuckle at the blood effects though.
Was just a shame what happened to the dude that played spartacus, wasnt the same after season 2.

Aye, the actor who played Spartacus did a good job, and the series did a good job of what it did, don't get me wrong :).  Just wasn't what I was looking for (I didn't really get into '300' either).  It got better as it went along as well - first episode was pretty average, but it warmed up over time (getting better at what it did, not what I was looking for - but if everything was made for my tastes it'd be a pretty boring world and we'd all be watching the War Thunder channel, lol :)).

That'd be pretty damn good Axe - don't know if it'd be that boring. :P

I watched 3 seasons of Orange is the new black in Netflix. Had been on my radar to watch for a bit, back when season 3 started on Foxtel I had hoped they would show the first two seasons beforehand so I could catch up but they didn't.

I enjoyed it, i found it interesting, funny, I didn't feel there were any filler eps really. I felt all the characters could've been real, they all had there faults some more then others and I didn't feel as any were there to fulfil a tv stereotype.

One aspect that I quite enjoyed was that they didn't rush through the characters back stories, they spread them out over the seasons. I feel this let them flesh out the back stories better then trying to fit several in one episode, having to cut out present stuff in the Ep or having character focused Eps back to back which could feel a bit samey.

Overall I enjoyed and look forward to season 4 next year.

Also for something different watch Empresses in the Palace a fictional Chinese drama, on Netflix. It was originally 76 45min episodes but Netflix cut it down to 6 90 minute episodes and apart from several obvious mid scene fade outs I didn't feel I was missing out on any vital information or feeling lost from not seeing something. Only negative I saw was some of the subtitles didn't stay on the scene for very long before another one replaced only happened a few times but I wasn't able to read them.

I liked it, I liked it quite a lot, it was so intriguing and interesting watching all the scheming and seeing how it would turn out and how characters would succeed or fail.  It was confusing at times with the names and titles and the changing of names but other than that it was good fun to watch.

Nice - hope it's good.

Has anyone been watching the new Walking Dead series? I watched the first episode but have missed everything else (just didn't have time). Is it good/bad/what?

Yeah, that's what I thought it'd be after watching the first one... looked okay or watchable but that's about it.

Mark Hamill's turned himself into a quality voice actor B).  What's the Flash like?  Will have to give it a watch sometime :).

Watched Line of Duty on Netflix (five episodes, 'bout an hour each) and thought it was pretty solid, a decent UK cop drama, well worth a watch if you enjoy that kind of thing :).

Takes a couple episodes to get used to unless you're a fan. Nothing wrong with it by any means, i just prefer the darker side to things (Like how they've done arrow).
Miles better than Gotham though (really didnt like, was a task to watch the season).
