I think they can do individual bits current gen, but I'd be very surprised if the physics of the ocean or the lighting/foliage animation on current gen was near as detailed as in that vid.  Liked the look of the way the foliage moved, could be well used in any future SOCOM-like game B).

Well, all I can say is if you are a fan of AC and really looking forward to this game, wait till nxt-gen. Playing on PS3 atm and it looks and runs like balls.

Even so, the mission design is still terrible. Oh my god it's terrible.

Sorry I am confused - is it bad cause of the ps3 is slow or just the game overall is bad?

Sounds to me like both - mission design is terrible / runs like balls.

I'm spewing - I was actually really looking forward to returning to the series after not playing it (fully) since Brotherhood.

This be sad.  Will probs give it a look on PS4, just because I'm a huge fan of sailing, particularly in weather, and the game does that, but sad to hear the series is heading the wrong way.  Commiserations Aro, and thanks for the expectations management.  Fingers crossed the good stuff is just around the corner?

Yeah both. Unless you like playing your games at 10fps then don't even think about entering a town.

As for the mission, they are still using the same mechanics and design. Most of the missions are tedious and unforgiving. So much as look the wrong way and it's mission fail.

If they want to fix the series they need to throw everything out, everything, and build it all again from scratch.

I'll give it another 1 or 2 sessions but unless something dramatic happens this is a no goer.
