not sure if you have fixed your NAT type.
if not, open TCP and UDP ports (

5223 , 3478 – 3479 and 3658

), that's my settings and always NAT Open (since MW2)

Im not 100% sure this is an issue with your settings, router, connection or whatever,
I had this issue with the first black ops, one moment my NAT is open next was Moderate, i chucked it in the other day and its strict,

With black ops 2 I started it up was open NAT, 2 days later Moderate, then a couple days after that it went back to open, and i didnt change any settings.

I have opened ports set and re-set DMZ, set up another Static ip, and it made no difference to my NAT type in black ops, thankfully Im not having that issue now, but nothing explains why,or how to fix anywhere.

Thats why IMO i think there is something buggy in the servers or something,

This - CoD's online has been dodgy since at least CoD4 (the first online CoD I've played) - and it's likely to be because they've inherited the netcode all the way down through the various generations, without being able to fix it.  The CoD's aren't as bad as the GTA's and RDR's for connections, but they've had issues all the way along.  Just something we have to wear, I'd say, as they're clearly not getting any competitive pressure to change it .

Hey R5169, I've tried everything they have online and the only thing that's worked for me is putting MW2 in first.
It's a lil annoying to do but you only need to do it when you turn your modem on and it beats playing on a strict NAT :D

UnPn enabled. Saw some people say to turn it off, but heaps more saying leave it on??

I've heard about the MW2 thing, so do you just do it once, and as long as your router stays on it's fine or do i need to do it every time i want to play cod? i'm going to try it tonight!

Yeah bro what KillDem said. Tricks the game into thinking it's MW2, and crazy enough it works too! You only need to do it once, but if you disconnect/reset your router then you need to re-do it.

Still seems strange DMZ isn't working though - That's generally the sure thing
