  • Replay the same exotic planets with other vehicles and extra missions can be selected on top of going through the story.
  • Two different viewpoints, the traditional style of TV gameplay and the new unique cockpit view on the Wii U GamePad controller combines to create a unique interface to aim and shoot in one direction while flying in another. This frees up the TV for more cinematic moments in a brand-new all range mode.
  • Pilot the new and improved Arwing with its new Walker transformation and take control of a new Drone type plane, the Gyrowing. The Landmaster Tank returns, equipped with a new, limited flight form.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst

Release date: 26th May, 2016

Genre: FPS Platformer

Developer: EA DICE

Publisher: EA

Rating: CTC

Mode: Single

What is it?: Follow Faith, a daring free runner, as she fights for freedom in the city of Glass. What appears to be an elegant, high-tech city on the outside, has a terrible secret hidden within. Explore every corner from the highest beautifully lit rooftops to the dark and gritty tunnels below. The city is huge, free to roam and Faith is at the center of it all. Through the first-person perspective, combine her fluid movement and advanced combat with the city's surroundings to master the environment and uncover the conspiracy. This is Mirror's Edge for this generation, raising the bar in action-adventure games.

Features:

  • First-Person Action - Get up close with your enemies. Use your freedom of movement and martial arts combat in conjunction with the environment to experience fluid first-person action unlike any other.
  • Explore the City of Glass - Roam the beautiful, high-tech city at your own pace, and unlock its many different districts. Run free and explore every corner from the highest, glass made skyscrapers to the hidden underground tunnels.
  • Witness the Rise of Faith - Brought up on her own on the margin of the totalitarian society, Faith found refuge amongst an outsider group called the Runners. Learn about her origin story, and take part in her journey as she stands up against oppression and becomes the catalyst that can change the City of Glass forever.
  • FOCUS - Fast, light, and agile, Faith must stay focused and use her movement to survive. Focus is gained from free running, and once Faith has Focus enemies cannot hit her. • BUILD FOR AN EPIC JOURNEY Whether you want to explore and see things never before discovered, or directly set course for the centre of the galaxy, how you play No Man's Sky is up to you. But you cannot take your voyage lightly. You'll need to prepare. Uncharted 4!!!!!!!! I'm thinking about whether I should keep my Special Edition preorder from JB or go for the digital deluxe edition :D.

Think I will be looking out for Alienation now that I am not totally atrocious and scared of failing in top-down shooters, hehe. The new Mirror's Edge sounds and looks really good too. Wonder if Battleborn will turn out to be good..... Can't say it's really piqued my interest other than the fact that it's being developed by Gearbox. Still waiting for news of Borderlands 3 :(.

And I will likely be watching my brother play Dark Souls III on his PC, hehe. Could be interesting since he's played the all the previous souls games on console only up until now.

dark souls on pc is hit & miss from what i understand.  the first was awful on pc, the second worked perfectly.  i'm hoping the third will also.  i don't think there's really any graphics difference between console & pc for it either, the big clincher would be what system has more people on to help you defeat bosses.
