Was an interesting read, can see alot of similarities with some of that and with what JJ has done with this.
Could be possible..
I would assume Rey and Kylo being the same age or 1-3 years difference so if Kylo did kill her, he would've been young which doesn't add up how he could kill Jade whose trained both jedi and sith, yet easily over powered by Rey

But then i looked on his wiki page and read (he and his twin sister Jaina began attending the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4)
If Jaina is in fact Rey, then she's a solo aswell and not lukes kid. But then its another twin thing.

Ah who knows haha, nothings really cannon anymore so for all we know General Akbar got with a human and rey was the result lol

It says at the end of that - "Jade Skywalker was killed by her nephew, Jacen Solo, whom she had learned was a Sith and therefore saw as a threat to her family personally, to the Jedi Order, and to the galaxy at large".

Obviously Jacen being Kylo.

Yeah read that part aswell. But like i said, no idea just how much JJ is following all this or whether he's doing his own thing.

Apparently Kylo (Or whatever name he has on that wiki) killed Jade with a poison dart so that would explain how he killed her, and that  some other person taking the blame for her death, thus being killed by Luke and Luke going into exile.
And with that extra reading on the wiki, i feel more that Rey is in fact his sister, not lukes daughter, unless i missed something lol.

I'm starting to think there's going to be alot of plot holes in this trilogy (Hope not), but i guess it all comes down to what he puts in/ignores from the universe. Arguments over whats still cannon in the SW universe are going on still as everything changes lol.

Yeah - Kenobi would be a very good choice. At least it wouldn't be so obvious (even though it kinda is) and it still has a powerful enough name behind it without making it sounding stupid.

There's this part though that I question...

Maz even makes a point of saying that the lightsaber belonged to Luke Skywalker and his father Anakin Skywalker before him, “and now it’s calling for you.”

I guess in context, it could really mean anything though... Either way - all good, I mean it's fucking miles better than the turd we got with the prequels.

Not sure it would be overly obvious, but it sure does make sense.
Obi wan was more powerful than Anakin in all things important so for Rey to "Out force" (lol) Kylo, could be the kenobi in her.

2 years will take forever now lol, need the star war die hards to figure this shit out for us lol.

Went again today with a friend that didnt want to go alone haha, so got to concentrate on the smaller things rather than being all "OMG A STAR WARS EFNUGUHRIDNGK!!" lol..

More of an Appreciation of what they've done with Kylo. When you look at the SW villains, they're all normally composed and well balanced. But when you look at Kylo, he's unstable, constantly conflicted with himself and very arrogant. Though he's still young(ish), he could very well be as strong if not stronger than Luke, and he's yet to complete his training as its pointed out multiple times in the movie.

Killing Han was his way of solidifying struggles between light and dark and even "proving" himself. Taking Chewy's blast that destroyed others and even hitting the wound to numb it/ embracing the pain and anger, while some say he's a weak character, i would say he's tougher than most Jedi/Sith knights/lords who probably would succumb to that wound, i mean chewy's blaster is OP as fuck haha. Throughout the movie they were building up to that point showing just how powerful it was.

Then with Rey, her memories and various other situations she gets her self out of, i would say she was trained by Luke when she was a kid, then Kylo going bat shit crazy, Luke (Or someone he trusted) got her to Jakku and wiped her mind (Jedi mind trick can do that yeah?) and while some of her powers remained, the rest slowly came back to her throughout the movie after Kylo (Convenient plot).
She also has more emotional balance than Kylo whose lost the plot after killing Han, makes it easier for her to "Out force" him at the end.

It's really a movie you need to watch a couple times to fully embrace all the things haha. There's just so much that gets hinted but never a clear indication lol.

It's more darker in its own way, so Luke turning to the dark side could very well happen, but its very difficult to say what's gonna happen in the next 2. Surely it wouldn't/cant be a Rey v Kylo situation in 8 as that's too much like Vader v Luke.

Anyways enough speculation haha. Just the second watching cleared a few things up for me atleast.

Yeah I read people enjoyed it more the second time around. I think the way JJ shoots is really fast paced so it's hard to catch onto a lot of the things. Think I'll just wait for BluRay though (for a second viewing).

Went and saw this today. I enjoyed it was a good watch of course I enjoyed the pre-sequels as well so I guess I was going to be easier to please.

Only thing I am iffy on is Kylo Ren's saber I dislike its design just feel its silly felt that way before seeing the movie and the movie didn't change my mind.

I dunno - I reckon it needed some kind of resolve. At least it sets it up for the next movie rather than the next movie being all about that.

As for the weapon - didn't bother me.

Yeah the way it ended i enjoyed, sets things up nicely.
One downside is JJ isnt directing the next one so things could have a different vibe. Hopefully he still has a strong word about things though.

As for the sword, i think it was more to scare his enemies more than practical use. (nothing spoiled here as can see it in trailer lol)
Plus it does kinda look badass.

^I just cant help when see it that its a higher chance of cutting your self with it when swinging it around and stuff which just makes it silly looking to me. In saying that its not on the level that the travesty the Bat Tank is, I loathe that thing so much.

I was more thinking along the lines of it being the first bit of the next movie something to open on, I agree wouldn't want it to take another whole movie to resolve that, would be drawn out even if they only took half of it.
Personally I would've been happy with the ending of just revealing his location, I didn't need too much resolve since I knew there was going to be more.

The movie was ultimately about that search so it had to end with them resolving that. I was more surprised that they cut it off where they did, but I wasn't at all dissatisfied by it at the same time.

Star Wars always skips ahead a little with each episode, it doesn't carry on from the very next day (or whatever).

Saw it last night and I gotta say, it was pretty amazing. Haven't enjoyed Stars Wars in a painless way like that for years.Everything that has been wrong just wasn't there.

There was a sense of scale which just hasn't been in most films lately. I wasn't surprised to see Chris Corbould in the credits who has been a big name behind practical effects coming back. He's been behind the Bond films (the sinking villa) The Dark Knight (flipping the truck) etc.

Good to hear... yeah, I think it did good enough. JJ did say he wanted it simple and easy to follow so that very young kids as well as adults can follow it. As I said before, I think it sets up a solid base for a new story to be told.

Is it the best movie ever? No. Is it the best Star Wars ever? No. Is Star Wars back? Fuck yes!!!
