Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone was planning to attend PAX Australia in Melbourne next weekend? I'll be attending as an Enforcer (mwahaha) and stationed at the Expo Hall this year. I had thought about registering and attending as a Media rep from GG like last year but I felt better suited to helping out at the event while still getting to see the cool gaming stuff . And after seeing all the interviewing and demoing did Graph at the EB Expo, I'm pretty sure I was right hehe. I also bought regular tickets that I'd forgotten to cancel so... my brothers gets free passes in, lol.

There are still a limited amount of Friday and Three-Day passes available on the PAX Australia website here for anyone interested in checking out the event.

Nah, I'll be helping out the exhibitors, managing lines and any confused people. I get to be a regular attendee when I'm not on my shifts so I'll definitely take some pics (if I can remember to ).

If i had paid attention and known it was on, i MAY have gone... probably not though. Have fun regardless. Let us know how it goes though, may go next year.

Helped pack the show bags for about three hours today, slipping the same flyer into each of the bags going through the line. Almost fell asleep when I got home, hehe.

have fun live! I went to Armageddon expo in Auckland today..last time I attended was about 10 years ago! didn't stay long..just walk around and see a bit of everything and go home with this lots of people and cosplay was very cool...I guess I didn't realize how popular it is! 3 days events with that many people! wow and I would guess your PAX probably double or triple the number!

I'll be leaving soon so Ill just post up some brief thoughts and pics .

PAX Australia seems a heap more organised this year being in the Melbourne Convention Centre rather than Showgrounds last year. Lots of things areas are more connected to each other, making it easy to find and walk from one place to another. There seems to be a lot of PC Stores/Periprheral companies seling an showing off their wares in the Expo Hall this year with just Microsoft, Ubisoft, RiOT, 2K and Wargaming as the major game publishers present. (And EA upstairs, which I haven't visited yet). The Free Play area is huge though, so people were playing lots of handhelds and consoles from the retro days to now .

Work-wise, I just patrol one sector for my 5-hour shift and make sure people are keeping to the lines and not blocking pathways. Enforcing!
