Mini-story:
I played a bit of Destiny this morning on Venus to stock up on Spirit Blooms and go for the Gate Lord Bounty when I happened to see "Vex have taken control of the sync plate" on my feed (or whatever the exact phrase is). I looked around, thinking it was the sacrificial public event - though it didn't really make sense - and saw a bunch of level 25-27 players above on a ledge doing the Raid!

So I joined in to help defend the plates just for the heck of it, lol, and they seemed to be struggling a bit. One of their level 25's on the first plate seemed to be using a sniper mainly and ran off the plate sometimes while Praetorians were still coming. I ended up deciding to help out the far end with the higher level players so that they could put more players on the first plate. All up it took about 10-15 minutes I think, before they succeeded. Had lotsa void on me :D.

I just thought that it was cool seeing that part of the Raid as still part of the open/instanced areas and being able to help. Like seeing that random player jump in the Vault with us too after we cleared the same gate last night ;).

first raid last night! took us 3 and a half hours to get to last boss and by then I think we all so tired we called it a night. proud of myself since I'm only level 26 Hunter (imo not the best for raid) the rest of us were 27-28.
hopefully we get to finish it tonight!   hope I get to do raid with you guys sometime!  will try to get my warlock to level up too! :D

That's awesome Ati! I think our first time trying the raid took a total of 7 hours before we could even see the last boss :P.

We had another go last night with the Straussy and Drags group ;), and made it as far as the last boss too. We almost killed him a few times but then I kept dying (sorry team) and couldn't deal nearly as much damage with my warlock at level 26 - my Titan dealt almost twice as much to the boss and enemies with the exact same weapons. Wish I didn't have to grind to rank up Vanguard levels again to buy the legendary armour!

But I'm happy to use my Titan to help out with numbers elsewhere now that my two characters have gone through the Raid this week :).

i believe im the one who let the team down. don't know what's happening and what to do.
and that crossing, failed miserably.

Nah, you did really well for your first time and without understanding everything that was happening. It's a lot to take in and the rest of us were trying to cruise through it quickly too so we didn't explain all of it completely.

That crossing was kinda funny though, hehe. I'm sure the boys were having fun trying to knock each other off the edge and Bat0 was away for a bit anyway.

did not get a trophy for Complete a Raid with a full fireteam consisting of only your clan members.

yeah the raid bugged out- some ppl got rewards but the raid did not "finish" cause it got stuck at 0 sec left

Found out about that one this morning Straussy, will have to look for it next time we go through. When we were going through that area with Drags and Live, i thought that there might be something there but didn't bother to have a look around. But that's cool, i like that there is still stuff to find/do in the raid. Oh and that hard mode too..

Probably next week when it refreshes. I was thinking of going this weekend again for anyone else who is ready to try or wants to put another alt through? You can only get the Raid loot once a week but I'll just double-dip with one of my characters :).

There's also hard mode where we should be level 29 at least.
