Thanks for the run in the new raid last night sorry I had to call it a night, damn night shifts........

Got some gloves and some energy, but going to have to get some raid shards now......

Need two people with Ice breakers to concentrate on the Knights, one level 31 beast to hold the sword, and the other 3 to have maxed out Gjallahorns to take down Crota's shield.

If I could give you one, I would! It would make the raid a lot easier.

You don't have an Icebreaker or a Gjallahorn yet... looks like you'll have to get to level 31 and be the sword beast Hasan

There's also a cheese way to cross the bridge. Everyone dies, when timer gets to 0 seconds a warlock self revives and picks everyone up. Then you can snipe the enemies on the other side of the bridge - once they're down the bridge builds and everyone can walk across. I'm sure they'll patch it out soon though, so don't rely on it too much.

The new raid looks cool wish I had the time to play it and hence can't justify buying the expansion pass

Going to be doing strike playlists to try and get some weapons and gear. Got a hand cannon from leveling up dead orbit that is on par with the hawkmoon. Looking forward to giving that a crack. Also got my chest piece maxed out, and two raid pieces are just waiting on shards. Will buy some gear whenever i can to try and hit 31 in the mean time though.

I think last night was the first time I hadn't raided with our main GG group when they were all playing together. (You've all grown up so fast *sniff*).

Jokes aside though, it sounded like the guys were getting really close to finally beating the last boss and finishing the new Crota raid. Countless hours spent trying to find and perfect good strategies, grinding XP and glimmer to buy, farm and level the new and upgraded gear to do more for the team... (Good ol' Destiny grind). We've grinded pretty much all week for this, we can do it!

Yeah, the guys had the strategy down pat and we just needed to get the execution right (as well as some sleep ). The whole Crota raid is much more hectic and aggressive than the Vault of Glass with waves of enemies attacking us left, right and centre. Timing was everything in this raid since the enemies range from level 30 to level 32 at the end where most people can only reach level 31 at most so far. And this is still just normal mode.

I think most of our group would agree that Radicaljack was MVP of the raid as he handled the job of actually running up alone to attack Crota, which is the most important and stressful role in that final boss fight. Especially since the rest of us could easily hide all the way out back away from enemy fire. Great job to all of the guys in planning and figuring out what to do everywhere .

I think we all got at least one piece of raid armour for each of our characters, so that was good. The Crota end fight seems to have given us raid weapons every time as well. The legendary raid Rocket Launcher (Hunger of Crota) seems like it could potentially take on the the Gjallahorn role for high damage per sec too after levelling . Just need lots more of the Radiant Shards and Energy now though, hehe.

Reset is just around the corner Moto, so I'm sure everyone will be running the new raid again over the next few nights.

haha I almost need a raid calendar app   I am booked in tonight for a HM VoG with Wpr, and a Crotas Rear End tomorrow night, and reserve for helping some 1st VoG raiders on friday night.   Happy to lock in a night next week though
