Borderlands: The Handsome Collection hits PS4(And Xbox One) next month
Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel packaged together on 27th March

Ever since we announced Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, nearly every fan I’ve heard from at trade shows, on Twitter, in the comments, or on the forums has asked one question: when is it coming to PS4? Well, we appreciate your patience, and today we have some good news for all of you: not only are we bringing The Pre-Sequel to PS4 on 27th March, but Borderlands 2 is coming along with it! Both titles will be available in one package as Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.

The Handsome Collection has both games running in gorgeous HD and looking pretty damn great, at a resolution and performance level never before seen in Borderlands on consoles. Beyond that, The Handsome Collection also has another cool first for Borderlands: four-player split-screen! Yup, four friends can hang out on the couch and play in split-screen on a single TV with The Handsome Collection, in Borderlands 2 or The Pre-Sequel.

Have you already started Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and/or Borderlands 2 on PS3 or Borderlands 2 PS Vita? Don’t worry: using Cross-Save functionality, you’ll be able to transfer your save to and from PS4 to pick up right where you left off, along with your levelled-up character, Badass Rank, and everything else you worked so hard for.

But what about the DLC? Well, that’s all included, too. Yup, The Handsome Collection includes ALL of the add-on content for both Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel, which is a heck of a lot of stuff. To give you an idea of just how much we’ve stuffed into that little box, here’s a list of everything you’ll get in addition to the base games:

  • Upcoming Season Pass Content (campaign add-on)
Back when Borderlands 2 came out in 2012, it launched alongside a pretty extravagant Collector’s Edition that some of you might have been able to snag. With Borderlands 2 and all of its add-on content coming to next-gen, we knew we had to top ourselves. And so, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will receive an extremely limited Collector’s Edition, the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition!

Limited to only 5,000 units worldwide, the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition includes a remote controlled Claptrap steward bot that you’ll control with a companion app from your iOS or Android device. You’ll be able to play voice samples of some of Claptrap’s most iconic lines and look through a camera to see where Claptrap is headed, all while you control his every move (while balancing on one wheel)!
The Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition also includes 12 really cool exclusive Vault Hunter lithographs, and a collectible steel case, it’ll be available for €349.95 at participating retailers and we recommend getting a move on it if you’re interested — we don’t expect these to last long.

Lastly, we’ll be talking more about The Handsome Collection during our panels at PAX South this week, and I hope we’ll see some of you in San Antonio. Even if you can’t make it, stay tuned for more details leading up to launch.

See you on Pandora and Elpis!

I played through BL2 at least 3 times I think... that was more than enough to do me for at least 5 years. Good times though.

Finally got around to picking this up haha. Popped into EB to kill some time, bought it for $25 new on sale for Ps3(Ps4 wanted $75) which means i had to connect it back up, then connect it to the net to update which took forever lol.

Been a bit of fun so far, gotta love the dialogue. Feels alot harder than Bl2 did when i first start which i like.

Oh i have been haha.
Alot of the side missions are boring back and fourth missions which are draining, but its pretty good so far. Already got a couple legendaries without farming so thats a plus.

Not sure whether to laugh or be disgusted in the fact there's a full on Abo shotgun that screams :/ hahaha

Jesus fucking christ its Killzone 3 all over again!

Quite a disappointment to what i was hoping to be an epic game. I found myself coming up to the final stages of the main storyline and thinking "Nah no way can it be finished yet", oh how i was wrong.
I'd probably say it had maybe less than half the side quests and content than Bl2 had. Feels like its just a cash grab and not their baby like Bl2 (Like what they did to A:CM) lol.

Storyline: Was a decent storyline of how jack became what he is. Didnt like how Athena was narrating the story when she wasn't there and i was playing as Wilhelm haha. But that tied in the whole "Sequel" part of it. Dialogue could've been a bit better, but was nice to see my character getting more involved with things rather than the occasional speech.

Game play: Same ole stuff really, nothing really to complain about. Lasers and Freeze element were a bit of fun to play with. Freezing some dude mid air only to watch him fall into the abyss hehe. Double jump/Glide/Smash are awesome, one of the better things they did.
Lack of fast travels aswell, have to manually go to most places. (Updated now so hopefully its better in TVHM)
Most missions (Both main and side) were stretched way to far and became more of a pain in the ass than anything. Oh cant go this way, have to go the long way around, yippie!
Also found out that Ultimate vault hunter isnt automatically included, it's still DLC which is retarded. They should've left UVMH in and added a next step as DLC. I haven't started TVHM yet, but im still bummed out.

Loot: What loot? Lol seriously there was just bugger all. Found myself using the level 9 gear i had up until the very end haha. Mostly all blue Unique weapons from side quests. Legendaries seemed to be a little easier to gain, found 3 in vending machines (2 being mods for other characters) so got them if i bother with the others.
Moonstones are way to common. Found myself with all upgrades (Before updating) before the final boss. Not complaining by any means, just comparing to eridium from Bl2, had to farm that shit haha.

Boss fights: Most were a little too easy, expected alot more from them. End boss was more grind tiring than difficult, finished it off with ease. Then i went to try the raid boss to find its the end boss, just a fraction more difficult lol. Terramorphous would be so disappointed. Most dropped their uniques so that was handy, dont think i got a legendary from a boss  apart for Iwajira. Farmed him a few times for that massive amount of moonstones and thingys (Got 5 out of 13 kills which is crazy). Comes in handy with the grinder getting ready for Tvhm lol.

Just aswell i picked this up on sale really. If i had spent more on it I'd take it back lol. Bl2 i played through normal and Tvhm on all characters (both DLC aswell) and most of them on UVHM. Dunno if i'll be able to bring myself to do that with this one. Will have to check DLC to see if it adds a decent amount of content otherwise i wont bother. Just sucks since Bl2 was awesome tits and this one is kinda sucky.
Borderlands 3 is in major danger ill say. All these people quitting and such, not much hope left im afraid.

:(  Commiserations Saintsy, always sad when something starts off with promise and then peters out into mediocrity.  This was developed by 2K Australia, so not Gearbox's main Borderlands team, so there may be hope for BL3 yet?

Well if things keep going the way they have been at gearbox, doubt there will be a 3 lol.

Guess the Aussie "lazy" gene really kicked in for this one aswell haha. Could rant more but eh.
Just a shame, even Borderlands had more base content than this one. Would rate them 2-1-Ps, even with Lillith the lagging siren i'd rate it higher haha. Oh that was horrible playing that DLC.

They'll have to pull out all the stops for the next one since there's too much riding on it. They've flopped way too many games so they need to restore the balance.

Was all ready to give them back +1 for TVHM with tina/brick doing the talking rather than lilith/mordi, but the ending was the exact same. Was kinda hoping for a new one since it was different (Maybe a teaser for the next) but nope.

Will take back what i said about UVHM though, apparently its in the game already.. Go figure.. Haha.

Overall it was bloody easy to finish. I left all Blue reward side quests until i finished the Main story so they all bumped up to level 50, End boss was level 52 and i was 41 :/ haha. Was a long grind to kill him but did it relatively easy enough.

Had to delete the game data so i could do a bit of farming (They actually nerfed legendary drop rates!), managed to get a sham level 28 from grinder (Did the whole split screen item duplicating thing) and a logans gun. So went full on Gaige and ran around with rocket launchers, sham and logans gun since they STILL haven't fixed that logans gun gives rocket ammo. Oh the fun i had with that on Gaige with norfleets.
Then had to re-download the update since there was a massive bug near the end that didnt update progress which was patched.

Isnt as fun as Bl2 but its decent. Will probably update my Editor/Bruteforce and give myself all the legendaries n such haha. Has become more of a time killer/ when i get bored of catch up games, kind of game haha.

Bright side being the Doc gave me some killer drugs for this whatever the hell cold ive got haha

Seems i picked this up right at the perfect time lol. Gonna finish the trophies off which means i have to play the other chars to up a  certain point. Started as nisha and the dialogue changes quite a bit (Straight up called moxxi a slut lolol). Just means, Sigh... I have to play as claptrap...

I finished playing this got it and the season pass for $20au ages back for PC.

First I liked that it had inbuilt frame-limiting options so I could lock it at 30fps and have a smooth ride.

I played as Claptrap and loved that when Jack saw you were a Claptrap for the first time said his day couldn't get any worse. I really enjoyed the added dialogue for the characters and also have the other characters referencing your chosen character when talking to you.

I enjoyed what it did for world building and seeing how the events then lead to what happens in 2. I also enjoyed how Tales of the Borderlands also fit in the universe it wasn't much but it helps make it feel like one big universe which I like.

The Claptasitic Voyage DLC was alright it didn't add to much more to the story nothing to fret missing out on. Final boss fight was annoying went on for ever, died several times, just annoying.

Agree with Saints some of the maps were annoying to revisit and travel through again also wish it would just auto pick up ammo and cash and moonstones so annoying to open a create only to have to hold down x to pick it all up or you have to walk directly over it.

So overall I enjoyed it there was some annoying bits but I really enjoyed seeing everything pan out and connect and such.
