I havn't played it but even with the side missions the game is still short right? I just think they should charge less for it and are trying to capitalize on the hype a bit too much

"6 minutes/ 2 hours worth of content" = flat-out lie. There's a huge amount of depth. As is the case with all mgs entries you get out of it as much as you put in. There's narrative not just in the main mission component but the side ops too.

How not to do a review of Ground Zeroes. Not play any MGS game, rush through the main mission and jot down your thoughts. These are the reviews which people are running with.

It's not a glorified demo and no one was ever lied to about what this was, a prologue. It's important where it stands in the series, as much a conclusion to Peace Walker and leading into Phantom Pain.

MGS has never been this dark, and not camp. Challenging issues not just in the background anymore.

I shot someone with a sniper rifle and a soldier ran over to him and said "stay with me buddy we'll get that bastard!"
There's no Snaaaaaaake at the game over screen either. It's the best realized "infiltration mission" we've seen so far of mgs. Your in control of it every step of the way.

Is MGS a game that you have to know the story to play? Haven't played any of them, and jumping in now seems like ti won't make much sense. From what i have seen, all of the characters are pre-existing, seems very confusing.
