So there was A LOT of information thrown at us today regarding the PS4.

So lets discuss the new features of the console here

The recording feature looks cool, but definitely need more details on it as to whether I would use it often.
All those apps they showed don't excite me as based on this gen they will most likely be US exclusive for the majority of the time.

I think the recording is a great feature if only for the fact that you dont need to buy any extra peripherals to record anymore. Being built in is a great move.

I think the whole downloading in background and the potential dwl of old games through goukai is going to be good IF they bring it out on release.

Cross game chat for sure, if it works right, and if it does, are we expecting P2P like xbox?
If it is I'll still get it purely as it should then guarantee a safer system, more money to generate new improvements etc which I feel they didn't bother with the ps3 cause it was free to use the psn network so it was never really much done to it

It is interesting that youtube and twitch are being left out because they are among the biggest video streaming services available that most people use now.

Everything has me excited for PS4. Some concerns was the Gamer profile thing being like facebook and the need for using REAL NAMES and REAL PROFILE PICTURES. I just hope thats optional, i dont want PS4 to be the gaming facebook social network, i do like social integration but i also like privacy and i think everyone else would appreciate it if they didnt have to use their real full name instead of gamer tag.

This maybe odd but I kinda wish the would release different colours at launch. I always liked the different colours but I can't justify buying a new console when I still have a working one.

I would definitely give Kudos to Sony if they allows use of the PS3 controllers on games that don't take advantage of the new ones feature and if we can still use our old move controllers.

@Outlaw213 when ever something asks me for my real name that will be public I use my initials as my first name its annoying but I don't want to put complete fake details to prevent it from biting me in the arse like some people who lied about their PSN DOB.

I think it might be possible to link GG fb page with a group on the SEN network in the future. That way you can easily find new members and play with them while keeping a separate friends list. Well I hope it is like that so I can delete the lot of you!@!!

The suspend/resume feature sounds pretty cool. Pretty much instant gaming the moment you get back on the PS4 - not really a necessary feature but it'd cut out a fair bit of loading time lol.

Also, with remote play, cloud gaming and the PS Vita games probably (or hopefully) continuing with the Cross-Buy/Cross-Play initiatives, it looks like the Vita will get a lot more support in the next gen too. I'll probably buy one later on at some stage.

Downloaded a game while you play it seems really cool. No waiting for hrs to start playing, but I'd like to see it work with Aus internet.

Yeah mate - there's limited amount of detail I like sharing with the public - even the people on my friends list. I don't even use Facebook... don't have Twitter or YouTube accounts either. I am and always will be a stealth silent assassin. haha.

If you want them to stop steamrolling NBN don't vote for Gillard... although I highly don't recommend that unless you want our country to become even worse than it is now... then again, Abbott isn't much of a leader type either. Your call as usual.

Gee we are way too alike GC   I have only met 2 gaming mates in my long on-line playing career,  Fitzy n Nerv.  and only met up for non-gaming stuff like beer n music.  I used to hate going to LAN events and doing the rounds so to speak . . .
