Are many people here looking to get this one?

I know I will be. Not sure on what platform though.

It'll look the best on PC but I'd assume most people here will be on console.

Want it on pc but hardware is currently a barrier. CPU only just creeps over the minimum everything else is fine.

Just ordered it for ps3 (fc2 ran very well on ps3) for $50 through clickfail.

Wading through blops2, ac3, Moh and hitman (loving it) right now, but I loved fc2 campaign so much I have to get this sucker running on my hmzt1 ASAP.

I'll probably get this one just for the map editor lol. But if the SP turns out well, then that's a bonus. :)

I'll be getting it for the PS3. Mostly for the SP but I'll defo put a few hours into the map editor - I spent as long on that on FC2 as the rest of the game - and a few hours of MP. Anyone seen the MP trailer where it shows the T-bagging at the end of the round lol.

Not sure, I was disappointed with Far Cry 2, so not sure if I will bother picking this up.

Far Cry 3 seems to be an improvement over FarCry 2 - Gone back to its roots.

I'll give it a rent sometime can't afford to purchase it at the moment.

I thought the fc2 mp sucked mainly due to lag, but the sp was pretty much the most immersive game I've played this gen. I was the jungle. Sure it had its problems eg respawning, too much travel and the ads was clunky, but those jungle drums did it for me. Burn baby burn.

Fc3 does look like it could be better, fingers crossed, and coop mode adds more value.

FarCry is all about the SP - I dont think i'll even bother with the MP, it wont last that long anyway. They've also decided to go with P2P instead of dedicated servers.

I don't care about either MP/SP... I just want to build things. I think I get more enjoyment out of that than actually playing games.

Does FarCry 3 come with the map editor like FarCry 2 did? It was fun messing around with it.

Yeah it does. They just haven't talked about it I guess because they wanted to focus marketing the SP and MP.

Sounds like you need some Minecraft action .  Hope you end up getting this on PS3 Clowny, looking forward to seeing some of your levels when I get around to grabbing it :).

Just reading some articles. Ubisoft reckon there will be minimum difference between console and PC. But there will be areas that console won't be able to push like PC. Know idea what that even means.

Can there be any gaming achievement more satisfying than building an entire gaming world that is in fact a giant dick?

        Far Cry 3 - PS3 Patch 1.03 Update

        By I_live_4_fun in Gaming News, on 13 January 2013 - 03:33 AM

Ubisoft released a Patch update yesterday for the spectacularly brutal Far Cry 3 on the PlayStation 3. Weighing in at 95 MB, the update fixes and improves on a whole range of minor issues and bugs that have affected all of the Multiplayer, Map Editor and Single Player aspects of the game, and includes the addition of the much requested 'No HUD'...
