Thoughts were:
- If we did a ladder, with points awarded put speed list completed, ranked by average points per speedlist (with draws decided by who'd raced more), that'd give us flexibility in how and when people got together to race. We could have different people host nights at different times, play a heap, then have some kind of finals playoff after a month or two.
- If it were a tourney, have a set number of rounds (probably 3, with Christmas as close as it is), then a finals week.
- It is possible to set speedlists, but I reckon it might be more fun to just leave the game to random it up, with people being forced to adjust on the fly.
- It's impossible to disable particular cars and mods, so it will be hard to make it perfectly 'even' - but I don't think this is a biggy for a game like NFS, the better players should still end up at the top in a tourney/comp.
- It's far too early to know of all the possible exploits or glitches online - it'd be important to make sure people don't go out looking for them. If anyone did, they'd be stripped of points for the night or something, repeat offenders dumped from the event.
So watch'y'all reckon? Thar be a good opportunity for some fun here is my money
