These guys specialise in resurrecting old games and ensuring they run well on Windows 7, Vista, XP etc.

The games are pretty cheap, and some well worth it if your traveling round with a laptop.  I recently sunk a bunch of hours into Balders Gate 2.

Most games can happilly run of a USB drive as well, for those down times at work

Don't play too much of it Jykel, don't know if you knew but they're actually doing an enhanced edition of it (BG1 first obviously). Should wait till that comes out this month.

Cool, I never played BG or BG2 originally, but really enjoyed my romp recently in BG2.  Even tho its old, I preferred that to Skyrim and DragonAge.

Nice one Jyks .  I've got 'em bookmarked if I ever get through my Steam backlog, there are some genuine classics in their back-catalogue.

GOG is fantastic. I don't have a larger collection from them if only because I have such a huge backlog on steam already due to being out of action on pc for so long but I have a big wishlist of games on them already.
Like Theme Hospital, Syndicate, The Crusader games list goes on and I always check if it's better to buy from them than from steam. You usually get some extras, sometimes even a soundtrack not just the base game which is all steam does for retro releases.

This summer No-DRM sale for gog has made my collection go from next to nothing to about over 30 games O_o

Highly recommend getting the Wing Commander series for next to nothing if your quick. Fantastic D&D set, Tex Murphy, buy AAALLL the games!!!

Ahhhh, Interplay, they knew how to make a good game .  Descent was tops, one of the games I hope gets a remake at some stage (even if this is pretty unlikely).
