Somehow appropriate that the fifth game in a series labelled as #1 is available to play first on the Xbox One .  I like the look of it, not something I'd play these days, but looks very interesting .  Cheers for the vid Aro .

watched the trailer the other day, looks pretty decent but nothing there to really compel me to play it.

Community has always been dying for a new WW1 or 2 game. Can't recall the last major online fps that did WWI so should add a nice mixture into the current state of online fps.
Not only that, COD has been dipping their toes into the futuristic war so no point continuing to compete on that front so it's a good move by EA imo. But in the end, it is EA so wouldnt hold a breathe for a polished, great game lol.

Pretty much - the good thing is the next game will be WW2 which is really what everyone has been wanting a return to. Would like to see a full blown Vietnam game as well. Verdun is a WWI game which might be the last made (released a couple of years ago). But that heavily relied on trench warfare - I'm guessing DICE will be avoiding that otherwise it'd be boring.... for sure it will have some though.

Yeah, seems Western Front and trenches will make an appearance but the game seems to have battlefields all over the world. Dice will probably fudge around the lines in terms of historical accuracy.

Aye - those tanks, for example, were moving awfully quick for WWI-era British tanks (most of the ones showed look like British Mk IVs, which had a top speed of a whopping 6 km/hr!)  I can understand why they'd do that though - imagine advancing towards the enemy behind a tank moving at a 6km/hr (if it was having a good day!) .

Well they have me excited enough to make me revisit BF4 and they actually made it a decent game sometime in the last two years, admittedly I am sticking to hardcore to mitigate the lag which makes it better, I'll be into BF1 HC day one.
