Cheers for the info Spec B).  Hands up who's surprised to see another AC this year? ;).  That said, I'm a big fan of the series and the setting, so am sure I'll enjoy it.  I still think that they're pushing the series a bit hard though.  I'm a history nut, so as long as they keep the settings and stories interesting I'll be there, but they could burn the broader audience out on it if they keep it up like this.

As a history nerd I also enjoy that aspect of the AC games but I agree they are flogging the series hard. And after Unity my confidence in the franchise has diminished greatly. I want to play it because of the setting but I know that by buying it I'm encouraging their current development philosophy.

They also need to rework ACs gamplay as the old system that has been there since day one is getting old and clunky.

Well this is it really - they just need to refresh the game. Each iteration is just a new city/location and a few little extra new things chucked in. I was over it years ago so I'm amazed people are still into it... I did enjoy Black Flag though... but that was enough of a change.

Yeah, that's my main frustration with it. It's getting to the point were it feels like they are making the same game with most of the same assets. It's feels like I'm playing a budget series. But until they stop making high enough margins they'll keep doing it.

Cheers for posting Super-Spec B).  This is another of those games that I'll definitely get, so won't watch 'em, but deffo hope this one does better than AC:Unity.
