Anyone remember when E3 was the big games show, with bits and pieces from TGS as well? Times they've changed, and now E3 and Gamescom are close to as large as each other (Gamescom has always had more of a consumer focus, E3 has gradually shifted towards one).
Anyways, Gamescom is the European show, and as we're part of Europe (in gaming territories, if not geographically) this is 'our' show, and it's on next week

There'll be press conferences (at least Microsoft and Sony, and a few of the big pubs, will post in this thread more deets later), reveals, trailers (last year's Gamescom sizzle trailer for the PS4 had WARRR THUNDERRR in it - there was other stuff at the show as well of course, but that was the important bit

) and oodles of gaming coverage. What's everyone hoping for? Anyone tipping any surprises? I know that the mob making Star Citizen and Paradox Interactive will both be there, which is enough for me to take notice
