Hi Everyone,
PanteraCFH and I from GGANZ are definitely attending this year's EB Expo, courtesy of EB Games who have generously provided us with … not one … but two … full day passes … for not one … but two days !
So, more details: We’ll travel for almost 3 hours by car from our village nestled at the base of the Southern Flinders Ranges in South Australia to Australia’s largest country town (aka. Adelaide), where we’ll fly directly to Sydney. Once there, we have booked to stay in one of Sydney’s most attractive hotel destinations which comes complete with running water, both hot & cold (it’s attractive as it’s cheap, ok).
Of course, traveling hours & hundreds of kilometres to stay in a cheap hotel isn’t what this is about, it’s about the expo & the GAMES !!! Games which EB have promised will not only be numerous, but also accessible to us to play first hand =)

Toting custom made t-shirts (I will be sporting a ‘Nuka Cola’ shirt & Pantera will have a shirt about some game nobody under the age of 38 has heard of, the ‘dinosaur’ looks like a duck made of lego), we will be getting right into any game we can get our hands on. Of course we both have some specific titles that we’ll be targeting, not only out of our own selfishness, but also as requested by you guys here on GGANZ.
Within that list you’ll find gaming royalty in the form of …
- Far Cry 4
- Assassin’s Creed: Unity
- Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (which releases literally the following week, but who cares, I may even play it so long at the Expo that’ll I’ll finish it)
- Battlefield Hardline
- Forza Horizon 2
- Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!
- Project Cars
- The Witcher 3
- Driveclub
… and of course many more, many officially announced to be at the Expo, but there are still many we’re expecting/hoping to see (ie. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare).
It’s no doubt that we’re both looking forward the most to the games & actually playing them. Two days seems like a long time to have to tackle this but we really don’t think we’ll be able to cover all that we want. There’ll of course be a TON of walking to do, taking notes/pictures for the follow up articles here on GGANZ (which we’re hoping we can bring some to you each night or even as it happens), eating of food (you want us to keep up our strength right ?), fighting robots to watch (lol, this is no joke, there will be REAL robots fighting one another as fighting humans would go against one of Isaac Asmoth’s Three Laws of Robotics), time with vendors & developers & maybe even some sight seeing.
For now stay tuned. We’re still over a month away from EB Expo which will be held at the Syndey Showgrounds, Olympic Park from 3rd to 5th October. Tickets are still available but many levels of access are already sold out, so visit your local EB Games or www.ebexpo.com.au to purchase yours before you miss out.
