There's only one more Thursday before winter sets in, and what better way to spend it warming things up than blowing each other up/irradiating ourselves with petrusite?! There'll be more KZ:SF this Thursday for any ANZers that are keen.  The game has picked four maps to focus on some of the ones that don't get a run as often, the deets are:

Warzone name: ANZ Community Night - DLC Maps, FF On
Password: 747
Time: 7:30pm AEST/9:30pm NZ
Rules: Friendly fire on, no parties.
Maps: The Divide, The Remains, The Slums, Cruiser.  Note that the Cruiser is DLC - it's free, so there's no cost involved, just remember to download it before 7:30pm AEST/9:30pm NZ this Thursday :).

I'll be there with my trusty Keyzer.  Actually speaking of weapons - in the vid axe is that the rumbler or the M82 from KZ2&3 that you are using?

The M82 - I like LMGs, but prefer ARs (not least because most games nerf LMG damage to compensate for higher magazine size, so they're not really LMGs, grrr......) - it feels quite different from the M82 in KZ2, more similar to the lower recoil model in KZ3.  Still a great virtual gun :D.

Bought the season pass (I'll buy the DLC of games I really like to support 'em - the more money GG make, the more likely we get another KZ down the track, or more DLC :D), so it just kind of came with it.  I've been a bit crook to play much KZ:SF since it came out though, so haven't played a game as the insurgent yet.  I'm pretty sure I've seen Eco (econodog) running around with it, he's a good person to ask :).

GG guys Posted Image my team got slaughtered in that 3rd map (can never remember the name of that one) Jykels bot placements were tearing it up, and while you tried to get rid of them with a grenade launcher, some bastard    would pop out of nowhere and blow your head off while you frantically tried to switch back to primary fire mode LOL

Looking forward to the vid.

Yeah GGs everyone.  I really think 5 v 5 is a good number, there were a number of times our team got 'team wiped' which gives the opposition a great opportunity to hit an objective.  Some really intense moments in some of those capture n moves.

Lol Siamese :)  Turret placement is key when you're old n slow :P  Still trying to find good spots on the new maps though.

The only thing more infuriating than getting ripped apart from those turrets, was the ill decision to press /_\ to deconstruct them and then just as you were about to finish, some nice Helghan soldier would treat you to the lovely and not at all annoying knife in the neck animation.

It was a great night and there were some things I learnt (or confirmed)

1. Axe is bulletproof.
2. Turrets suck.
3. The petrusite grenades look like they have been buffed.
4. Put Callfire and myself on the same team with FF on and objectives just could become secondary :D
5. Axe is bulletproof.

I am really enjoying these nights, they remind me a lot of the old KZ2 days and I like a healthy dose of nostalgia.

Hahaha, I still died plenty (although I think I had a marginally positive K/D for one of the games, didn't look at the others (I was checking teamkills - I had 0 for two of the three games - I was quite happy about that :))), and you got me more than a few times, and still died plenty quick from my perspective (maybe some WA lag was on my side in your case?) but there were a couple of occasions when I had quite a good run, and I remember someone else mentioning something as well, so there might have been something up, although I'm not sure what it was.  Have gone through the initial round of culling footage and you'll be pleased to know that there are at least two clips where you finish me off in it :D.  There's also one where I took down four people in a row, three of which were head-to-heads (the first of which was 2 v me) which I'm a little surprised I got through.....

Loving the games though, they're heaps fun, and they definitely feel a lot like the 'good old days' B).

All good mate, it is the way our wonderful internet works, at the start I actually changed to only trying to take you down with grenades as there was no way I could compete head to head :D

I gotta say, usually my bullets have an uncanny way of always finding Axe no matter where he is but last night I did notice that I didnt see him as much as usual.  He certainly got a few Melee kills on me though,  usually during my deconstruction of turrets :o

I have to agree last night felt a lot more like the killzone times of old, cept Doomy wasn't bitchin anywhere near enuff :)

Was good to see CallFire in the mix, haven't played with him since he was in SiN+(?).  Everytime I seemed to find a long corridor (not good with a shoti) he was at the other end with a rifle. AroGantz, watching you and Callfire going at it in the last game I played during the beacon run was piss funny.  28 team kills FTW!

I am not 100% convinced the team kills are registering correctly.  In the last game before I bailed, I got 2 team mates with petru but had 0 team kills, and I swear I shot a team mate with my shoti in that game as well.

Worked out last night it takes about 10 shots with the shoti to bring down a stupid air bot if you can find a balcony or crate to stand on and not get knifed in the process.  Turrets I dont mind, can avoid em or dont tell team mates and wait for them to go in 1st ;)

Hope they(GG)  provide Server limits for all bots soon, so we can limit things to 1 or 2 per side depending on numbers.  3 air bots in a enclosed space can be painful ;)
