Cod is like pr0n. Nobody plays/watches it for the story. And like pr0n, it's usually the same set pieces in a different situation.
That said, it could explain why it's so popular with the 12 year olds!
In all seriousness, I really wish EA/Dice would do BF2143.
I did notice that BF4 has a version of Titan Mode in it, with their Naval Strike DLC. Carrier Strike or something. Not as epic as Titan mode. Get the flags, bust open the Carrier, blow up 2 objectives.

Pretty much everything in there has been done in other games. Looks like IGN is trying to help flagging sales.
- Hover BIkes (BF2142 Northern Strike add on)
- Invisibility (Killzone 2, probably something earlier than that as well)
- Wall climbing, leaping (sv_gravity
)
- The Exo Suit (Smaller version of the Walkers from 2142)
- Spider Tank looks pretty cool though. (Ghost in the Shell; yes, there is a Video Game) I think it only had 6 legs though, so technically, not a spider.
- The IR Grenade (I think there's been quite a few games with this sort of mechanic, KZ3 and BF4 being the most recent examples, though technically not grenades, which I prefer)
I'm not so much berating this game for all the things that it's "Ripped off" (far from it; take it, use it, try and make it better), my gripe is more against IGN for hyping up gameplay elements that have been around for a while.
Does anyone actually take them seriously anymore?
