[Axe99]

Axe here, am a big fan of gaming and been doing it since the early 1980s, starting off with a puck-monster machine and Nintendo Game-and-watches (and 1942 in the arcades - mmmmmm.....arcades ) and rolling on from there.  These days I play a bit of everything, from shooters to racers, RPGs, strategy, puzzle and even the occasional brawler. Generally game on console for anything that it isn't strategy, and have always preferred the range of games on Playstation so it's always been my first choice, although I've played every Ninty console, and am an aspiring 360 owner (just need to find the time/money!)  The game of the moment is Borderlands 2, which is bloody brilliant - best put-together coop experience I've played.  Although my favourite game this year is easily BIRDS OF STEEL - I'm a suck for a good 'ole-fashioned combat sim, and Birds of Steel is the best released on console and one of the best released (if you're on PC, keep an eye out for War Thunder: World of Planes

My online gaming started with the SOCOM 1 beta on PS2, and my first clan experience was with the KsK, and then the KsK second division which became the Mighty Hellfish, and had a very healthy life on SOCOM 1 and 2.  These days I'm a proud member of SPT, a relaxed, casual clan that plays mainly coop and the odd GT5 race day.  Was heavily involved with CLANZ, a great casual gaming site that grew from a group of clans that played KZ2 together from the PSF, but faded as we had a drought in quality competitive titles for a couple of years, before MW3 helped revive things. These days, I spend most of my time at GG, but drop by Sixaxis Gaming and the Official Playstation Forums when I get the chance.  Am a big fan of the ANZ online gaming scene, and hope that GG can make it an even better thing to be a part of .

I hear ya - I'd been away from 6A for a few months when Axed99 came on the scene, and had a few of them claiming I was trying to copy him .  No way that was the case (my PSN is based off an email address I got in the mid-90s, and Axe99 was what I used in the SOCOM 1 Beta trails, before you could publicly game online on Playstation, so I'd be one of the oldest, but that doesn't mean much other than that I'm crustier ) but it can cause confusion.  Reckon you've gotta be pretty safe, can't be too many s2Jay15s2's about .
